Since the 17 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the construction of ecological civilization has attracted more and more attention from relevant departments.With the release of relevant official documents,the public benefit attribute and social function of protected natural areas have been continuously strengthened and promoted.Environmental education has become not only one of the main functions of national parks,but also one of the functions undertaken by geoparks,forest parks,nature reserves and other natural protected areas.In recent years,the construction of geopark has already obtained a certain achievement and scale.However,as the main carrier of geological environmental education,geopark’s environmental education is still in its infancy,and its environmental education function has not been developed correspondingly.Based on this,on the basis of combing and analyzing related researches on environmental education and geoparks at home and abroad,this paper takes 41 global geoparks with world representative geological relics as the research object,combines the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and the grey relational analysis method,and constructs the development status of geological environmental education and the evaluation model of geological environmental education effect based on grey relational analysis.This paper quantified the development status of environmental education in geological park world and described the development status and effect of environmental education in geological park resources objectively.Using the method of natural discontinuities,this paper grades the development status of geological environmental education and the evaluation results of environmental education in 41 geoparks.According to the evaluation results of "development status and effect" of geological environmental education,this paper summarizes the development status of geological environmental education in 41 geoparks and classifies them into three types: stable developing geoparks,gradually improving geoparks and accelerating improving geoparks.It also found out the common problems existing in the practice of geological environmental education in geological park,and put forward improved and modified countermeasures and suggestions for geological park to better realize the environmental education function.The results show that the education,development and utilization of geological resources in the world geoparks need to be further improved.The average score of geological environmental education development status is not high,and only 7 parks have a high ranking of geological environmental education development status.The effect of geological environmental education in China’s global geoparks is generally not good,the average score of environmental education is low,and only 5 geological environmental education has a good ranking.More than 3/4 of the geological parks in the world belong to the accelerated promotion of geological parks.We need to improve the status of the development of geological environment education,so as to enhance the effect of the park geological environment education.This paper analyzes the status quo of environmental education development and the effect of environmental education of geoparks in the world,and grasps the relationship between the status quo of environmental education development and the effect of environmental education of geoparks in the world.In the future,it is very important for geopark to identify its own development status of environmental education,to better excavate the unique geological relic resources of geopark,to carry out environmental education activities,to regulate the public environmental behavior,to protect the geological relic resources,and to realize the sustainable development of geopark.
