Research On The Impact Of Midea Group’s Digital Transformation On Enterprise Performance

With the rapid development of the current digital economy,the application of digital technology in enterprises is also expanding."Through changes to the organizational structure,technological innovation,business processes,and business models of manufacturing enterprises,which affect the level of enterprise performance,enterprises have attached great importance.".In the report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it was mentioned that to accelerate the construction of a powerful manufacturing country,the manufacturing industry is an important pillar of China’s economic development.As a key driver of economic growth,digital transformation should be accelerated.In the 2023 government work report,it was also proposed to focus on the manufacturing industry chain and concentrate high-quality resources for core technology research and development.At present,China’s traditional manufacturing industry is undergoing transformation and upgrading to advanced manufacturing industry intelligence.At present,scholars’ research on the impact of digital transformation on enterprise performance is less based on enterprise cases,and more on research and analysis of industry data.Therefore,using specific enterprise cases to study the impact of digital transformation on enterprise performance has certain theoretical and practical significance.This article takes Midea Group in the household appliance industry as a case study.Based on input-output theory,process reengineering theory,value chain theory,contingency theory,and the mechanism of digital transformation affecting enterprise performance,it conducts in-depth research on the impact of digital transformation on enterprise performance.Based on the introduction of relevant concepts and theoretical foundations,this article introduces the basic situation of Midea Group,and analyzes the digital transformation stage,motivation analysis,and impact path.On the one hand,DEA-Malmquist model is used to study the impact of Midea Group’s digital transformation on enterprise performance,and efficiency analysis is conducted from static and dynamic perspectives;On the other hand,the entropy weight method is used to establish a comprehensive evaluation matrix for enterprise performance.Based on the path impact of digital transformation on enterprise performance,indicators are selected from four perspectives: financial level,customer level,internal process level,and learning and growth level.Finally,calculate these indicators based on their weights and conduct an impact analysis to comprehensively evaluate the impact of Midea Group’s digital transformation on enterprise performance,and conduct a comparative analysis with the same industry.Finally,based on the analysis results,we found the problems in the digital transformation process of Midea Group,proposed corresponding measures to address the problems,and drew relevant research conclusions.Through research and analysis,Midea Group’s digital transformation has promoted corporate performance through digital marketing,technological innovation,and intelligent manufacturing impact paths,and the overall level of corporate performance has improved.It has served as a good example for other home appliance enterprises to conduct digital transformation,and to some extent,it has made up for the lack of experience in the home appliance industry in digital transformation.At the same time,corresponding countermeasures are proposed for the problems found in the digital transformation process of Midea Group,and other household appliance enterprises can improve based on their own digital transformation situation.
