| With the transition of population structure to aging,the population living mode presents the characteristics of living alone,and the degree of social aging deepens,resulting in the increase of the proportion of the empty nest elderly population,and its old-age care has become the content of continuous social concern.With the development of intelligent technology,intelligent products represented by wearables are booming,but they have many phenomena such as long learning and adaptation time of users,mismatching with users’ capabilities and product homogeneity.Since universal design provides a fair and equal use environment and can create opportunities for empty-nest elderly people to participate in social and production activities in the context of intelligent society,this paper,from the perspective of universal design concept,provides new positions and solutions for empty-nest elderly people’s intelligent product design.This paper studies and summarizes the development,types and trends of existing wearable intelligent products,and carries out research on the physical and mental characteristics and various life modes of empty-nest elderly.It can be seen from the analysis that the user’s physical functions and system functions are declining;Through user questionnaire survey and user interview,we can understand the influence factors and use demands of empty-nest elderly in the use and interaction process of intelligent products in detail.According to the CREATE model proposed by scholars in the relevant research of the universal design concept,combined with the previous research results,the design elements of the wearable intelligent product for the empty-nest elderly based on the universal design concept are summarized,including user elements(psychology,physiology,behavior),task elements(acquisition,processing,feedback)and technical elements(system,information,interaction).The system model and implementation framework composed of three elements of user,task and technology,guided by the general design principles,has formed the design method of wearable intelligent products for empty-nest elderly based on the general design concept,including the inherent implementation method,the active implementation method and the systematic implementation method.Finally,this paper takes the smart bracelet and the "Smaress" monitoring platform as the research object,applies the design elements,wearable intelligent product design system model and implementation framework to the system optimization of wearable intelligent products,generates a scheme based on the technology of the user front-end smart bracelet and the child monitoring back-end software of the empty-nest elderly,and carries out user testing and product validation.At the theoretical level,this paper enriches the research of universal design concept in product design in digital intelligence era,establishes a complete user service system,and provides a theoretical basis for wearable intelligent product design.At the practical level,it provides processes and methods for the design of wearable intelligent products for the empty-nest elderly,and improves the design practice level. |
