| With the rapid development of optoelectronic science and technology,there is greater room for automotive headlights to play in styling design.New forms of headlight styling are constantly emerging,and there are cognitive differences between designers and consumers regarding the emotional imagery of headlight styling.From the perspective of visual power theory and Kansei engineering,this study uses quantitative theory to build a mapping model between the design elements and perceptual images of SUV headlights to guide the design of headlight image modeling.Firstly,the generation reason and operation mechanism of the visual power theory are expounded,the visual characteristics of the product form design elements are described by using the visual power structure and visual power style,and the product form design elements are further decomposed by using the “psychophysics” method.This paper studies the related theories of perceptual image design,and uses the Kansei engineering method to construct the mapping relationship between design elements and perceptual images.Secondly,by analyzing the visual power and power patterns in the headlight form,the headlight form is transformed into a visual perception form power pattern containing visual power.Based on the visual power threshold perception experiment,the critical value of visual power perception is obtained,and combined with the statistical results of the “angle”and “proportion” feature data of the headlight samples,a decomposition table of the headlight shape design elements is constructed,and its content is analyzed for effectiveness.Then,based on the limited physical engineering of headlights,a representative sample space was established,and representative image vocabulary was extracted through factor analysis.The semantic difference method is used to transform the qualitative variable perceptual image into the quantitative variable’s image value,with its evaluation mean as the dependent variable.The compiled front lamp shape design element decomposition table is encoded and processed as the independent variable,and a mapping model between the front lamp shape design elements and perceptual images of SUV models is constructed using quantitative theory.Finally,based on the results of quantitative analysis,priority and visual feature recommendations for the design elements of SUV model headlights with target images were obtained.Three representative images were designed for styling schemes,and the effectiveness of this design method in SUV model headlight styling design was verified through statistical analysis of data from the target image satisfaction survey questionnaire.This topic conducts research on the visual characteristics of SUV headlights through the theory of visual power,enriching the research content of visual power structure and visual power style,providing new ideas for the image design of car headlights,improving the efficiency of designer image design,and accurately meeting the diverse emotional needs of users. |
