With the development of urbanization in China,the function of cities is gradually improved,and people’s demand for urban living efficiency,urban vitality and urban environment is getting higher and higher.Under the new development situation,corresponding design innovation is needed,and the TOD theory(transit-oriented development)and the construction of urban slow walking space are both worthy of attention.As a representative of modern public transportation,metro rail transit fits in with the TOD concept,and its surrounding slow roads can well connect metro stations with urban space,combining rail transit and slow transportation to give full play to the benefits of TOD development.At the same time,Shijiazhuang is in the initial stage of exploring the construction of urban rail transit and urban slow walking space,which is a great inspiration for the development of similar cities in China.This thesis thus proposes the design of slow space around Shijiazhuang TOD rail transit stations as a research object.Based on the summaries of scholars on the design objectives and design principles of TOD model and slow walking space,the TOD urban design model and organizational structure are studied,the concepts and strategies of slow walking space design are summarized and refined,and the relationship between the two is analyzed in depth,thus laying the theoretical basis of the thesis.Based on the above analysis and theoretical basis,this thesis further integrates the current situation of the development of slow walking space around Shijiazhuang rail transit,and uses on-site research and expert analysis to establish a three-level index evaluation system of "target-criteria-indicator" from the perspective of the synergistic development of two green travel modes,rail transit and slow transportation,and uses The scientific weighting of each index is assigned by the hierarchical analysis method,which forms the basis for the evaluation of the slow traffic space around the TOD rail transit stations.The representative rail transit stations in Shijiazhuang are selected to quantify and standardize the evaluation indexes according to the national industry standards,so as to solve the loophole of the lack of data on the control indexes in the current slow traffic evaluation study.In this thesis,data comparison analysis is conducted for selected typical stations in the process of comprehensive evaluation,and optimization suggestions are made for the most suitable stations for upgrading.Finally,based on theoretical support and data support,and with reference to successful design practices,the optimized design strategy for TOD rail transit slow walking space in terms of convenience,safety and comfort is proposed.It also selects the Xisanzhuang station in Shijiazhuang as a practical case for optimization design,in order to provide theoretical research and feasible optimization enhancement ways for the optimization of slow space in Shijiazhuang metro station area in the future,and also provide some reference for the optimization of slow space around metro stations in other cities of the same level in China.
