Study On Visual Quality Evaluation Of Bamboo Landscape

With the rapid development of the times and economy,the demand for tourism has gradually increased with the improvement of people’s living standards.With the widespread application of bamboo landscapes in modern life,their profound cultural heritage and visual beauty have also made bamboo themed scenic areas an important component of today’s tourism industry.The visual quality of bamboo landscapes has been highly valued and widely discussed by tourists.In the era of big data,tourists’ evaluation methods for tourist destinations and landscapes are becoming more diverse.In addition to traditional word of mouth and paper records,personalized opinions can also be expressed on social platforms,collectively known as User Generated Content(UGC).Users combine textual descriptions with images and videos.The above evaluation forms are based on the perspective of tourists,which can reflect the public’s perception in a wider range and also amplify the intuitive guiding effect of visual perception.In this study,based on the above background,by reviewing relevant literature and theories on bamboo landscape and visual quality both domestically and internationally,it was found that there are deficiencies in the current status and research of bamboo landscape vision.Based on UGC data,this study found common issues with the visual effects of bamboo landscapes.By studying the relevant theories of bamboo landscapes and landscape visual quality,a bamboo landscape visual quality evaluation system was jointly constructed using UGC and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)as the main landscape evaluation methods.The system was used for landscape evaluation in the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area in Yibin City and improvement strategies were proposed.Firstly,based on the UGC data of typical bamboo themed scenic areas in Sichuan Province,relevant factors of visual quality of bamboo landscapes are extracted from tourist perception as pre-selected evaluation indicators.Using the evaluation of visual quality of bamboo landscape as the target layer and combining literature and expert methods,five dimensions of bamboo landscape space,bamboo landscape facilities,bamboo landscape color,bamboo landscape richness,and bamboo landscape experience were determined as the system criteria layer;19 factors,such as openness and reachability,are taken as indicator layers to jointly build a bamboo landscape visual quality evaluation system and use AHP method.Finally,a questionnaire is designed with SD method and 14 bamboo landscape sample points in Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area are investigated.The questionnaire results are analyzed,and the rationality of the results is analyzed in combination with field research.Finally,based on the visual quality evaluation system and combined with previous analysis,the main existing problems of the bamboo landscape in the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area were summarized.Based on the research results,propose overall improvement strategies for bamboo landscapes and targeted improvement strategies for the Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area.The conclusion of this study is to introduce UGC data to improve the construction method of the landscape evaluation system,and to demonstrate the scientific nature of its evaluation system through empirical research,expanding the theoretical significance and practical value of bamboo landscape evaluation.On this basis,it is proposed that the visual quality of bamboo landscapes should be optimized from the five aspects of bamboo landscape space,bamboo landscape facilities,bamboo landscape color,bamboo landscape richness,and bamboo landscape experience in the construction system,under the five principles of humanistic care,unity,ecology,culture,and regionalism,in order to achieve the research goal of optimizing the visual quality of bamboo landscapes.It can provide reference for the landscape evaluation of other bamboo themed scenic areas.
