An Empirical Study On Economic Losses Of Cucumber Green Mottle Mosaic Virus Disease

Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus(CGMMV)is the third quarantine disease in China,causing serious economic losses to cucurbitaceae crops worldwide.However,since the first discovery of CGMMV in China,the disease has not been effectively controlled,leading to spread to most of the country.Through analysis of the economic influence of different cucurbit crop inoculated by Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus during different periods and field investigation research Shouguang area CGMMV harm status quo,in order to provide the theoretical basis for the prevention and control of CGMMV.The economic evaluation system of Cucumber green mottled mosaic virus was established,and a series of economic problems and social repercussions caused by the virus were analyzed.The analysis found that CGMMV caused the loss is divided into direct and indirect economic losses,the direct economic loss is reflected in product damage and prevention costs increase,infrastructure investment costs,indirect economic losses reflected in the disease prevention and treatment monitoring costs,with industrial damage,trade barriers.With the change of market economy and the change of seed management mode,market problems are gradually emerging.For example,the difficulties of market supervision and the vicious competition of enterprises all affect seed health and safety.CGMMV has also made social repercussions more and more prominent,resulting in a decline in land use rate.Malformed fruits and fruits affect commodity quality,impeding the healthy and sustainable development of cash crops,and directly or indirectly affecting the development of local agriculture and ancillary industries.In this paper,the distribution of CGMMV in China in recent years was obtained by collecting and identifying germplasm and integrating data.The results showed that 21 of the 218 varieties collected carried CGMMV.According to the literature and news materials,CGMMV was widely distributed,except for Qinghai Province,Tibet and Chongqin,and other provinces in China reported CGMMV.The effects of CGMMV infection on different cucurbit crops were evaluated by using the same set of indexes.The results showed that the early infection of CGMMV affected the plant seriously,which showed slow growth,lower yield,lower Brix and higher disease index.Grafted cucumber yield loss of the highest 74.29%,self-root cucumber yield loss of 43.13%,watermelon economic loss of up to 68.00%.Graft Cucumber and Self-Rooted Cucumber With the passage of the infection time,the effect on growth was gradually reduced.The overall trend was the same.The difference between the length of stem of CGMMV and CK was 142.83 cm,that of Cucumber T1 was 80.64 cm,that of Watermelon was 41.4 cm when it was planted at 32 day,and that of Cucumber was 99.40 cm when it was 31 day,There was a 59.2 cm difference in 31 day infection during seedling stage.The disease index showed that the earlier the infection rate was higher.Grafted cucumber,self-Rooted cucumber,watermelon,Gourd and vegetable Gourd seedling infection index was the highest,respectively 92.59,86.11,90.67,100,94.44.A comprehensive analysis found that the value of different crops varied and therefore the economic losses varied.In order to determine the main harm object,distribution and harm degree of cucumber green mottled mosaic virus(CGMMV)in Shouguang area.From 2016 to 2017,different cucumber varieties,different planting time,different areas and different growth stages were investigated.Investigation and research find:Shouguang area light cucumber suffer the most serious;The annual prevalence of the virus was concentrated in 5～8 months,and the highest incidence was 63.33%in June.The 10 townships surveyed were affected by CGMMV to varying degrees,of which the most serious incidence was 49.64%in Daotian towns;The incidence of CGMMV in early stage was the most serious,and the final incidence was up to 90.00%before the infection.The results show that the Shouguang area is harmed by CGMMV to different degrees.In addition to the variety resistance difference,temperature and humidity and other factors such as personal management model conducive to the emergence and popularity of CGMMV.Therefore,the summer reasonable cooling and management can reduce the damage of CGMMV.
