Effects Of Acer Truncatum Leaves On Egg Production Performance And Antioxidant Indices Of Taihang Chicken

With the rapid development of animal husbandry in China,and the feed resources are relatively short,so the developing new feed resources is one of the future development directions of animal husbandry.Acer truncatum leaves are rich in protein,vitamins,mineral elements and other nutrients,and it is also rich in flavonoids,chlorogenic acid,polysaccharides,phenols,tannins and other biologically active substances.The biologically substances in Acer truncatum leaves can play a significant role in antioxidants,antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,improve immunity and other functions.Therefore,the development of Acer truncatum leaves feed resources has very broad application prospects.This experiment was to explore the effects of Acer truncatum leaves on the production performance,egg quality,and antioxidant capacity of Taihang chicken.The results provides reference for the practical application of Acer truncatum leaves in the production of laying hens and provides a basis for the development of Acer truncatum leaves feed resources.A total of 480 Taihang chickens(40-week-old)were randomly divided into 4 groups with 6 replicates per group and 20 hens per replicate.One control group and three experimental groups were set.The control group was fed the basal diet,and the experimental group were fed the diet with add Acer truncatum leaves.The proportion of Acer truncatum leaves added in experimental group I,group II and group III was 1%,3%and 5%,respectively.The pre-trial period lasted for 7 days,and the trial period lasted for49 days.The results are as follows:1.Compared with the control group,the laying rate of Taihang chickens in group I and group II was increased by 2.88%(P<0.05)and 7.04%(P<0.05).The ratio of feed-toegg in group II decreased by 8.26%(P<0.05).And the average daily feed intake and laying rate of Taihang chickens in group III were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Acer truncatum leaves significantly increased egg yolk color(P<0.05)and Haugh unit(P<0.05),and the changing trend was increased with the increase of Acer truncatum leaves supplemental level.The yolk color and Haugh unit in group III were increased by7.63% and 17.56%.2.Acer truncatum leaves significantly increased the plasma T-AOC of Taihang chickens in each experimental group(P<0.05),and increased the plasma T-SOD activity and CAT activity of Taihang chickens to different degrees.And the plasma MDA content of Taihang chickens in experimental group was significantly decreased(P<0.05).Acer truncatum leaves increased the plasma antioxidant capacity of Taihang chickens.3.In the relative gene expression results of Taihang chickens.The relative expression levels of gene SOD1,GSH-Px1 and CAT in the liver and spleen of Taihang chickens in group II and group III were significantly higher expression than those in control group(P<0.05).The Taihang chickens ovary gene relative expression results showed that the gene FSHR and LHR was the highest expression in group II(P<0.05).Acer truncatum leaves could affect the antioxidant capacity and performance of Taihang chickens by regulating the expression of related genes.4.In the observation results of Taihang chickens liver tissue section,the control group chickens liver cells have obvious pathological changes,and the inflammatory cells of the liver cells of Taihang chickens in the group I were significantly reduced,The liver cells of Taihang chickens in group II and group III were normal in morphology,regular arrangement,and few inflammatory lesions.Acer truncatum leaves relieves the liver injury of Taihang chickens.Acer truncatum leaves did not significantly affect the duodenal villus height and crypt depth(P>0.05)and their ratios in Taihang chickens.In conclusion,Acer truncatum leaves can increase laying rate and reduce feed-toegg ratio of Taihang chickens,improve egg quality,enhance the antioxidant capacity of plasma.And affect the antioxidant capacity and performance of Taihang chickens by regulating the expression of related genes.Acer truncatum leaves can also relieves the liver injury of Taihang chickens.Based on the research results of various aspects in this experiment,the appropriate addition amount of Acer truncatum leaves in Taihang chickens feed was 3%.
