Traditional animal husbandry methods are restricted by human resources,and the understanding of livestock activities is relatively vague.The scale and area of animal husbandry are small,resulting in high labor intensity and low output efficiency.In addition,the health monitoring of livestock is mostly based on the experience of herders,and there are often misjudgments.In recent years,with the continuous development of science and technology,emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things,big data,and artificial intelligence have continuously promoted the transformation of traditional animal husbandry methods to intelligent animal husbandry methods.In paper,we design and implement an intelligent ranch livestock information monitoring system,which can collect livestock information on the location,body temperature,heart rate and exercise of livestock through sensor technology.In addition,this paper designs a livestock health diagnosis algorithm to judge the health status of livestock.It can also switch different communication methods according to the mobile signal strength of the area,so that people can understand the activity information and health status of the livestock in the first instance.The main content of this paper includes four aspects: intelligent ranch livestock information monitoring system design,hardware design,software design and system function testing.Firstly,the paper designs a system scheme based on the research status at Domestic and foreign.Then,the Beidou short message,Narrowband Internet of Things(NB-Io T),and Long-Range Radio(Lo Ra)wireless communication technologies used in the system are studied.Thus,the paper analyzes the function and structure of the system,and designs the hardware structure diagram of the intelligent ranch livestock information monitoring system based on the function and structure.Furthermore,the hardware design is mainly based on the main node module and the sub-node module,and the software design is designed from the various modules of the system,the communication protocol,the livestock information monitoring cloud platform and the livestock health diagnosis algorithm.The main node module and the child node module can collect livestock data and transmit it to the database through the wireless communication module,and display it on the livestock information monitoring cloud platform.At the same time,this paper also designed a "head sheep/cattle-flock of sheep/cattle" communication method,which can freely switch the wireless communication method according to the mobile signal strength in the area,and can ensure the validity and real-time of livestock data.Finally,the system has been functionally tested.The various modules of the system and the livestock information monitoring cloud platform can work normally,realizing the functions of livestock information management,real-time location query,trajectory tracking query,electronic fence and health diagnosis.In general,the intelligent ranch livestock information monitoring system designed in this paper uses the Internet of Things and sensors to effectively monitor and scientifically manage livestock,which has promoted the transformation of my country from traditional livestock husbandry methods to technical and modern intelligent livestock husbandry.
