To investigate the effects of dietary acidulant complex on the growth performance,serum biochemical indicators and intestinal microflora of weaned piglets.Ninety 28 days old healthy Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire crossbred weaned piglets with a body weight of(8.0±1.0)kg were selected and randomly divided into three treatment groups:control group(CON),antibiotic group(AGP),and acidifier complex addition group(AC),Each group had 5 replicates and with 6 pigs per replicate.CON group was fed basal diet,AGP group was fed basal diet + AGP(bacitracin zinc 40 mg/kg,chlortetracycline 75 mg/kg,zinc oxide 2 kg/tonne),AC group was fed basal diet + 0.2 % Acidulant complex.The study lasted for 42 days.The study was divided into two phases(1-14 d and 15-42d)according to different diets.The results showed as below:1)Growth performanceIn 1-14 days,there was no significant difference in ADFI,ADG,and F/G among the groups.Compared with CON and AGP groups,AC group reduced the diarrhea rate(DR)by36.7%(P<0.01)and 48.2%(P<0.01).In 15-42 days,There was no significant difference in ADG among all groups(P<0.05),compared with CON group,ADFI and DR was reduced by 12.4%(P<0.05)and 61.4%(P<0.05)in AC group,respectively.In 1-42 days,ADFI of the CON group was significantly higher than that of the AGP group and AC group(P<0.05),and F/G of the AGP group was significantly lower than the CON and AC group(P<0.05).2)Serum biochemical indexesAt 14 and 42 days,there were no significant differences in T-AOC and MDA among all groups(P <0.05).At 21 d,compared with CON and AGP groups,T-AOC in AC group increased by 77.42% and 57.14(P <0.01),MDA decreased by 27.40% and 15.20%,respectively(P <0.05);During the whole trial period,there were no significant differences in serum related immune indexes among all groups(P <0.05).3)Fecal microbesThe addition of acidulant complex in the diet had no significant effect on chao1,observed_species,PD_whole_tree,and shannon diversity index(P>0.05),but the shannon index of the AGP group was significantly increased by 13.3%(P<0.05)compared with the CON group.At the phylum level,Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes,Tenericutes,and Actinobacteria were the main dominant phyla,Adding acidifier compound had no significant effect compared with CON and AGP groups(P<0.05);At the genus level,the addition of acidulant complex significantly increased the relative abundance of Prevotella_9(P<0.05)compared with the CON group;Compared with the AGP group,the addition of the acidulant complex could significantly increased relative abundance of Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1(P<0.01)and Terrisporobacter,Intestinibacter,and Lachnospiraceae_AC2044_group(P<0.05).In summary,adding 0.2% the acidifier complex in the diet could significantly reduce the diarrhea rate of weaned piglets,improve the antioxidant capacity of weaned piglets in the second stage;and promot the growth and reproduction of intestinal beneficial bacteria,thus improve balanced intestinal of microflora.
