the aquaculture industry, promoting healthy breeding, striving to realize prohibition of resistance from feed, reducing resistance in breeding and realizing no resistance in the whole process of breeding are the basic routes for the development of breeding enterprises. There are Chinese herbal extracts, plant essential oils and seaweed extracts.Seaweed is widely distributed in China and easy to obtain, its unique algal polysaccharide has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, and has been used in health care, beauty and other aspects, its extract contains a variety of active substances, with antibacterial,anti-inflammatory and growth promoting biological functions. In this experiment,12 Xiangxi local yellow cattle with similar parity, weight and good health were selected × Angus crossbred cows were randomly divided into two groups,The control group was fed the basic diet, and the experimental group was fed the basic diet supplemented with 50 g / head/ d seaweed extract. The experimental period was 42 days, including 12 days of pre feeding and 30 days of normal feeding. The effects of seaweed extract on the digestibility of nutrients, serum biochemical indexes and rumen fermentation parameters of the perinatal cows were studied. The test results show that:(1)Production performanceThere was no significant difference in average daily feed intake and birth weight between experimental group and control group(P>0.05).(2)Nutrient digestibilityThere was no significant difference in the intake of nutrients between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05);DM digestibility,OM digestibility and ADF digestibility of experimental group were significantly higher than those of control group(P<0.05),CP and NDF digestibility of experimental group were significantly different from those of control group(P<0.01),EE digestibility index had no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).(3)Rumen fermentation parametersOn the 7th day after delivery, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).On the 14 th day after delivery, the p H of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P=0.07).The contents of acetic acid and propionic acid in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the contents of TVFA and valeric acid in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in other indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)Blood biochemical indexesThe Glu content of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group on the 14 th day before parturition(P<0.05),The content of MDA in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P=0.06),The Glu content of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group on the 7th day after parturition(P<0.01),and there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group on the 0th and 14 th day after parturition(P>0.05);The content of P in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group on the14 th day after delivery(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the 0 and 7days after delivery(P>0.05);There were no significant differences in the contents of TP,ALB,GLO,TC and Ca at 0,7 and 14 days after delivery(P>0.05).(5)Antioxidant indexThe T-AOC content of 7d test group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.01),There was no significant differencebetween day 0 and 14 of postpartum period(P>0.05);No significant differences were observed in 0 d、7 and 14 d SOD、MDA(P>0.05).The MDA content of calves fed colostrum for 0 h in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05);The GSH PX content of calves fed colostrum for 0 h in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the MDA and GSH PX content of calves fed colostrum for 24 h in the experimental group had no significant difference(P>0.05);There was no significant difference in SOD content and T-AOC between the experimental group and the control group at 0 h and 24 h after colostrum feeding(P>0.05).When calves drink colostrum for 24 hours, the free fatty acid in the experimental group has an upward trend(P=0.07)and the superoxide dismutase has a downward trend(P=0.08).In conclusion, adding seaweed extract to the basic diet of perinatal cows can improve the apparent digestibility of the diet, increase feed conversion efficiency, increase the concentration of acetic acid and propionic acid in rumen, provide more energy for the body, and improve the antioxidant capacity of calves,so as to promote the healthy growth of calves. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Seaweed extracts, Perinatai Meat cows, Nutrients, Blood index, Rumen fermentation parameters | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
