Chinese cabbage with stay-green and branching charcters are two new types of Chinese cabbage varieties.However,due to the lack of excellent male sterile lines,their heterosis has not been well utilized.In order to solve the problem of hybrid seed production of Chinese cabbage with stay-green character,a cytoplasmic male sterile line of Chinese cabbage with radish cytoplasmic male sterile gene(Oug CMS)was apllied to transfer its male sterility into DH lines of Chinese cabbage with stay-green character.The hybrid combinations were prepared by using the transformed male sterile line,and the dominant hybrid combination was screened through variety comparison test.Taking a multiple allele inherited genic male sterile line‘GMS019’as the male sterile source,its genic male sterile genes were transferred into a branching Chinese cabbage inbred line‘349’,and a branching Chinese cabbage genic male sterile line was created.The results are as follows:1.Taking the cytoplasmic male sterile line of Chinese cabbage and radish(Oug CMS)as the male sterile source and the DH line of stay-green seedling Chinese cabbage as the recurrent parent,the backcross transfer scheme was designed.By means of hybridization and backcross,the cytoplasmic male sterile line‘Shang 040C4’of stay-green seedling Chinese cabbage and the cytoplasmic male sterile line‘275C4’of stay-green seedling Chinese cabbage with 100%sterile plant rate and 100%sterility were bred.2.Using the cytoplasmic male sterile line of stay-green seedling Chinese cabbage,7excellent inbred lines and 6 DH lines of seedling Chinese cabbage to prepare hybrid combinations,the varieties were compared and tested with seedling white gang Chinese cabbage commercial variety‘Zaoshu No.5’and seedling green gang Chinese cabbage‘Siji No.1’,the excellent hybrid combination‘A4’of white gang seedling Chinese cabbage and the excellent hybrid combination‘H4’of green gang seedling Chinese cabbage were selected.3.Through the comparative analysis of nutritional quality and comprehensive flavor between the hybrid combination prepared by the cytoplasmic male sterile line of stay-green seedling Chinese cabbage and the control varieties early maturing‘Zaoshu No.5’and‘Siji No.1’,the hybrid combination‘E3’and‘H2’with excellent quality were selected.4.Taking a multiple allele inherited genic male sterile line‘GMS019’as the male sterile source and the branching flowering cabbage inbred line‘349’was used as the material to be transferred,to design the directional transfer scheme of genic male sterile lines.By means of hybridization,test cross and self cross,a branching flowering cabbage genic male sterile line‘M5’with 100%sterile plant rate and sterility degree was bred,which was similar to the transferred parent.
