Cotton occupies an important position in China’s agricultural development.Xinjiang cotton sown area and yield has been in the forefront in China, cotton yield and film mulching width related. In this paper,2.05m wide film and 4.4m super wide film with high frequency in northern Xinjiang were compared to select the film covering width with better effect of increasing production and temperature in northern Xinjiang. The effects of different film covering widths on cotton growth and development, growth environment, yield and quality were analyzed, and the effect of increasing yield and temperature of 4.4m ultra-wide film was analyzed, providing theoretical basis for the promotion of 4.4m ultra-wide film. The specific methods and results are as follows:(1)The effects of two lamination widths on soil moisture content and temperature of cotton were analyzed. The test took"Source Cotton No.11"as the test variety, and set up two kinds of lamination widths of 4.4m ultra-wide film and 2.05m wide film under the same planting conditions.Soil moisture monitors are used to simultaneously monitor soil moisture content and temperature at a depth of 0-60 cm soil layer. The relationship between soil moisture content and temperature at different depths of growth period was compared and analyzed. The results show that under the same irrigation system, the warming effect of the upper tillage layer of ultra-wide film cotton is obvious and the soil moisture content is high. From the cotton seedling stage to the flowering boll stage, the average temperature below the depth of the middle soil was negatively correlated with the average moisture content.By using 4.4m ultra-wide film covering,it can improve the soil hydrothermal conditions,so that the temperature of the soil and the moisture content can achieve a better coupling, and promote the growth and development of cotton.(2)The effects of two lamination widths on cotton growth and development, agronomic traits, leaf area index, dry matter accumulation, and spatio-temporal distribution of cotton bolls were analyzed. The agronomic traits of cotton are measured using basic measuring tools such as steel rulers and vernier calipers. The results show that the ontology of the ultra-wide membrane after the bud stage is better, and the plant height and stem thickness grow rapidly and are always higher than the wide membrane. At the same time, the number of fruit branches and the height of the beginning of fruit branches are 6.99%and 4.18%higher than that of the wide membrane. The leaf area measurement using the leaf area meter showed that the leaf area index of the two laminated widths of cotton was consistent, and the leaf area index of the 4.4m ultra-wide film was always higher than that of the wide film.By determining the accumulation of dry matter in the aboveground part of cotton,a logistic model of biomass accumulation was established, and the variance test was tested to achieve a significant level. In the cotton boll time distribution, the 4.4m ultra-wide film distribution is more reasonable. In the spatial distribution of cotton bells, the middle and upper rings of the ultra-wide membrane are better than the wide membranes, and the inner rings and peripheral bells have no significant effect.(3)The effects of two lamination widths on cotton yield and quality were compared and analyzed. The cotton yield of the experimental community was calculated by manual picking, and the actual yield of cotton was measured in combination with the final machine harvesting results. The results show that the yield of the4.4m ultra-wide membrane is 6465.55kg/hm~2,which is 431.25 kg/acres.The yield of 2.05m wide film was6176.92kg/hm~2,which was 412 kg/acres,and the yield of 4.4m ultra-wide film was increased by 4.67%compared with the planting mode of 2.05m wide film, and the yield increase was obvious. There is no significant difference in cotton fiber quality.
