Abstract/Summary:
Inner Mongolia Autonomous region is a major potato growing province,but the level of mechanized potato harvest is not high.Currently,most areas in Inner Mongolia still rely on segmented harvesting,where a potato digger machine is used to dig up the potatoes,which are then manually picked up,graded,and bagged.This harvesting method is labor-intensive,has high labor costs,low grading efficiency,and low accuracy.In view of the above situation,this study designed the movable rotating plate type grading device for potato and conducted feasibility analysis and experimental research.The main research contents and results are as follows:By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of various grading methods at home and abroad,a new grading method is conceived.Materialize the new grading scheme,and the overall structure design of the movable rotating plate type grading device for potato was completed.And use Solidworks2016 software to model the potato grading device.The movable rotating plate type grading device for potato was theoretically analyzed,and the motion law of the movable rotating plate was obtained.According to the theoretical analysis results,the movement of the potatoes on the movable rotating plate was simulated and analyzed using EDEM software,and the variation law of the potato’s motion trajectory and time was determined.The feasibility of the grading device was established,and the experimental factors that affect the grading effect were determined.The EDEM software is used to simulate and study the grading effect of the grading device.Taking the grading accuracy and grading efficiency as the experimental indicators,and taking the height of the horizontal slide rail,the inclination angle of the inclined slide rail and the horizontal movement speed of the chain as the experimental factors.The virtual simulation experimental is carried out.The results showed that the height of the horizontal slide rail and the horizontal movement speed of the chain had a significant effect on grading efficiency;there is a non-negligible interaction among the three factors and directly affects the grading accuracy;Considering the grading efficiency and grading accuracy,the optimal value of the horizontal movement speed of the chain was 0.5m/s,corresponding to a grading efficiency of 12.35t/h.The test-bed of the movable rotating plate type grading device for potato was set up.Taking the grading accuracy as the experimental indicators,and taking the height of the horizontal slide rail,the inclination angle of inclined slide rail and the horizontal movement speed of chain as the experimental factors.And the indoor experiment was carried out.Based on the range analysis and variance analysis of the experimental results,it is determined that the interaction between the height of the horizontal slide rail and the inclination angle of inclined slide rail has an extremely significant effect on the accuracy of potato grading accuracy.The final optimal scheme is as follows: the height of the horizontal slide rail is 185 mm,the inclination angle of inclined slide rail is 3.5°,and the horizontal velocity of the chain is 0.5m/s.With the use of this optimal solution,the grading accuracy of the grading device reached 91.04%,which basically meets the needs of potato grading.
