Objective:To develop a rapid computer-aided diagnosis and treatment system which can quickly, accurately and automatically determine the type of acid-base imbalance and provide suggestions for treatment, referring to the research progress of human doctors and veterinarians at home and abroad.and the clinical application of the system is evaluated. Methods:The program was written in vb.net language, and the computer-aided diagnosis and treatment software was developed, which can automatically judge the type of acid-base imbalance and the suggestion of treatment. The clinical data of 183 sick dogs and cats treated in Changsha Puyue Animal Hospital were analyzed retrospectively.the venous blood gas data of sick dogs and cats were collected and input into computer software to judge acid-base imbalance automatically.at the same time, manual calculation was used to judge the type of acid-base imbalance. The consistency of the judgment result of computer software and manual method was tested and evaluated by Kappa, and the time needed for judgment was compared. The software was applied to dogs and cats with acid-base balance disorder in clinic to evaluate the effect of ion return to normal range after using the drug dose provided by the treatment suggestion software. Results: The consensus rate of judging the results as "normal" using computer software and manual method was 100%,the consensus rate of judging the results as "simple acid-base imbalance" was 80.59%,the consensus rate of judging the results as "double acid-base imbalance" was 93.47%,and the consensus rate of judging "triple acid-base imbalance" was100%,the overall consensus rate was 89.61%.The Kappa of computer-aided software and manual method was 0.825,p = 0.000,which showed that the consensus rate and consistency of computer software in judging the type of acid-base imbalance in dogs and cats were very high. The time required for judgment by computer software was significantly shorter than that by manual method(s: 11.83 ± 2.03 vs.280.17 ± 95.66,t = 37.924,p = 0.000).By comparing the changes in the blood gas parameters and electrolyte values before and after the treatment using the drug dose provided by some software of this treatment recommendation, the results showed that this software played a significant role in the correction of most types of acid-base imbalance and electrolyte imbalance in clinical practice, including metabolic acidosis with respiratory alkalosis, simple respiratory acidosis, simple metabolic acidosis, simple respiratory alkalosis, respiratory alkalosis with metabolic acidosis, respiratory acidosis with metabolic acidosis, hyponatremia, hypernatremia, hypokalemia, hyperkalemia, hypocalcemia and hypochloremia. Conclusion:The computer-aided diagnosis and treatment software developed by VB.NET has the characteristics of rapid, accurate and automatic judgment of the type of acidbase imbalance, which can liberate manpower, improve efficiency, and greatly improve the accuracy of clinical veteri.
