Porcine rotavirus disease is a contagious viral diarrhea disease caused by porcine rotavirus(Po RV).The disease is highly infectious, almost 100% of neonatal piglets will display evident clinical symptoms when they are infected with Po RV,such as watery stool(yellow or white),dehydration and wasting. This disease mainly appears in cold season. In this study,a suspected piglet viral diarrhea disease case occurred in a pig farm in Miluo City,Hunan Province at the end of November 2020 was analyzed. The sick and dead pigs in the pathogenic pig farm were sampled for pathological and laboratory diagnosis, and comprehensive prevention and treatment for this disease was proposed and conducted. The results were as following:,1.The dead piglets from case farm were dissected, and the small intestinal segments were intercepted for pathological sections, the slices were observed and analyzed.Compare to the sample from health piglet, the pathological symptoms were observed evidently in sick or dead piglets, such as villi shedding, mucosa denaturing, and cell necrosis.30 small intestinal tissues and contents of the diarrhea piglets were taken for laboratory diagnosis by RT-PCR with Po RV,PEDV,and TGEV specific primers. The results showed that 27 of 30 samples were infected by Po RV,and all 30 samples were negative analyzed by PEDV and TGEV specific primers, suggesting that the occurrence of this disease was caused by single virus infection, the source of infection was Po RV,and there was no mixed infection.2.Comprehensive management and preventive measures for the actual incidence of pig farms in cases: improve production management, strengthen washing and elimination work, improve the vaccination system, and train and improve the technical level of technical personnel in the field. After comprehensive treatment, the internal epidemic situation of the case pig farm was controlled, and no epidemic spread from the second phase pig farm to the first phase pig farm. The overall survival rate of piglets was 84.6%,the mortality rate was15.4%,and the adult pig population was very rarely infected and all had a good prognosis. Conclusion: The diarrhea disease of neonatal piglets occurred in case farm was infected by Po RV,and no mixed infection by other viruses.Swine rotavirus disease requires comprehensive comprehensive prevention and control measures, and the following work needs to be paid attention to: strengthening the level of feeding management, timely and comprehensive washing and elimination work, improving the professional level of the overall breeder, and formulating relevant immunization and isolation programs.
