Study On The Influencing Factors Of Farmers’ Avocado Planting Income In Menglian County

Avocado(Avocado)is an important multipurpose plant resource integrating edible fruit,medicinal and ecological environment protection,which plays an important role in economic and social development.This paper selects the avocado planting income of farmers in Menglian County as the research object.Based on the resource endowment theory,human capital theory and rural industry integration theory,field survey and sample statistical analysis methods are adopted to conduct an empirical study by using multiple regression models.On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the factors affecting the avocado planting income of farmers in Menglian County,This paper summarizes the main factors affecting the income of avocado planting and discusses the methods and measures to improve the income of avocado planting.The survey analysis shows that the factors that have a significant impact on the income of avocado cultivation are the age of the planting household head,planting area,sales type,purchase price and annual yield.The reasons for this result are as follows:(1)Male fruit farmers over the age of 40 generally have rich agricultural planting experience and high scientific and technological cognition level.When facing the introduction of new varieties,they will generally evaluate the development prospect of the varieties in the long term,comprehensively consider relevant policies,and actively learn new technologies.Therefore,the income of these farmers is higher.(2)The larger avocado planting area will increase the income of farmers,which will change the single sales mode and enrich the sales channels of avocados.Especially,farmers who sell on e-commerce platforms will have higher planting income.(3)The purchase price of avocado is also an important factor affecting the income of farmers.The purchase price is closely related to the quality of avocado as well as the sales channel.In particular,avocados in the first trimesters are of relatively low quality and sell at relatively low prices.In addition,local avocados are mainly purchased by upstream companies,and the purchasing price pricing power is in the hands of companies,so farmers have low bargaining power.Based on the empirical analysis of factors affecting farmers’ avocado planting income in Menglian County,this paper draws on domestic and foreign avocado industry development experience,and based on the actual situation of the avocado industry in Menglian County,puts forward the following suggestions: First,improve land circulation and moderately expand avocado planting area.Second,improve the quality of avocado planting and improve the purchase price system.Third,strengthen the training of new type of professional farmers and build a personnel training system.Fourth,improve the development environment of e-commerce and logistics management,innovative sales methods.Fifth,adjust the industrial structure and accelerate the integrated development of industries.Sixth,strengthen the publicity of avocado to build regional brand image.Seventh,promote the integration of agriculture and tourism,and promote the coordinated development of national economy and culture.
