In palaeochannel of Wei County,it has a large area of wind-sand area and serious wind erosion.It is of great practical significance to study the present situation of the sandy area of the ancient channel and the preventive measures of desertification for improving the regional ecological environment and formulating the preventive measures of soil and water loss.The wind-sand area of palaeochannel in Wei County was taken as the research object in this study.The natural and social economic conditions and historical evolution of the wind-erosion form of wind-sand area was conducted field exploration.The mode and effect of desertification improvement were studied and evaluated.The main results are as follows:(1)The sandy area of the ancient river channel in Wei County was mainly distributed in the ancient channel of Zhang River and the irrigation channel of the Yellow River.The sandy area of the ancient River channel covered an area of 239.9 km~2,accounting for 28.22%of the total area of the county.The areas prone to soil erosion were mainly distributed in the central and southern part of the county,involving 12towns such as Beigao town,with a total area of 96.19km~2,accounting for 11.14%of the total area of the county.(2)From Spring and Autumn Period to Ming and Qing Period,the sandy area of the ancient river was the sandy area of the alluvial plain,formed by the Zhang River,the Wei River and the ancient Yellow River.Its origin was related to the surface sandy soil caused by the flood discharge of the ancient channel,the high wind in spring,the low rainfall,the destruction of vegetation and the unreasonable farming system.There were several main forms of the sandy area,including hydraulic erosion,wind erosion,gravity erosion,man-made erosion and so on.(3)The main control modes of wind-sand area in ancient river are protective forest system in wind-sand area was arranged on both sides of main roads and around river channels.High quality fruit trees were developed to control sand in the suitable area of fruit trees.Interplanting in crop growing areas to control sand.Surface coverage was used to control sand in the field.Inter-row grass was used to control sand in orchards and woodlands.In addition,measures such as foreign soil,facility cultivation and ecological water system were used to comprehensively control sand.The"water network+road network+green network"governance model was used according to local conditions to achieve the effect of sand control and income increase.(4)The system for evaluating the benefits of soil and water conservation was used to comprehensively appraise the measures taken,including determining the evaluation principle,the evaluation index and the index weight,and finally it’ll get the benefit score.The evaluation results showed that the comprehensive management of soil and water conservation in Wei County had been at an intermediate level,which was largely due to the improvement of economic and social benefits.(5)The main problems in governance were insufficient investment,inadequate management and protection,and insufficient promotion and application of new technologies.It was advisable to improve relevant laws and regulations,strengthen publicity,and do a good job in dynamic monitoring and policy research.
