The greenhouse cultivation of industrial crop in Wenshan Prefecture,Yunnan Province has begun to take shape,becoming one of the symbols of agricultural modernization in the Prefecture.The varieties of chili grown on a large scale in the state are generally divided into two categories: Green Chili and Purple Chili;Cultivation practice found that Green Chili had higher yield but poor resistance,and Purple Chili had strong resistance but low yield,which was determined by anthocyanins that led to Purple Chili organs.In the low-latitude and plateau habitat of Wenshan Prefecture,where low temperature,drought and strong ultraviolet stress are serious,good resistance is the first quality that excellent chili varieties must have,so Purple Chili has become the preferred variety for chili farmers.In recent years,some chili farmers have tried to grow Purple Chili in greenhouses,but the planting results are divergent and inconsistent.In fact,in the low-latitude and plateau in Wenshan Prefecture,whether the greenhouse is suitable for planting Purple Chili varieties has long become a question that chili practitioners in the state are eager to clarify!For this reason,based on the low latitude and high in situ environment of Wenshan Prefecture,this study compares the photosynthetic performance and yield of the typical Purple Chili variety ’16HN01’ under the planting conditions inside and outside the greenhouse,determines the leaf area by punching weighing method,the photosynthetic pigment and anthocyanin content of leaves by spectrophotometry,and the photosynthetic parameters of leaves with Li-6400 photosynthetic instrument,and comprehensively evaluates by membership function.The main results are as follows:1.In terms of photosynthetic performance,the leaf area of purple chili planted in the shed was about 64.852% higher than that planted outside the shed,and the difference reached a very significant level.In terms of photosynthetic pigments,the chlorophyll a content,chlorophyll b content and total chlorophyll content of purple chili planted in the shed were about 42.043%,31.107% and 38.545% higher than those planted outside the shed,and the difference has reached a very important level.The carotenoid content of purple chili leaves planted in the shed was about 82.492%higher than that of the leaves of purple chili planted outside the shed,and the difference reached a very significant level.The ratio of chlorophyll a/chlorophyll b of purple chili leaves planted in the shed was about 5.541% higher than that of the leaves of purple chili planted outside the shed,and the difference was not significant.The total chlorophyll/carotenoid ratio of purple chili leaves planted in the shed was about40.057% lower than that planted outside the shed,and the difference reached a very significant level.The net photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance,intercellular CO2 concentration and transpiration rate of purple chili leaves planted in the shed were about 52.717%,95.088%,46.891% and 120.900% higher than those planted outside the shed,and the net photosynthetic rate of purple chili leaves reached a very significant level in the planting environment in greenhouse and open-air,and the difference in stomatal conductance,intercellular CO2 concentration and transpiration rate in the planting environment in greenhouse and open-air reached a significant level.However,the water efficiency of purple chilis planted in the shed was about29.993% lower than that planted outside the shed,and the difference was not significant.2.In terms of anthocyanin content,the anthocyanin content of purple chili leaves planted in the shed was about 8.898% lower than that planted outside the shed,and the difference reached a very significant level.3.In terms of yield and its composition index,the average number of fruits per plant,average dry weight per fruit,fresh chili yield and equivalent dried chili of purple chili planted in the shed were about 37.838%,65.934%,30.697% and 23.484%lower than that of purple chili planted outside the shed,and the difference reached a very significant level.The average fresh weight of purple chilis grown in the shed was about 27.189% lower than that grown outside the shed,and the difference reached a significant level.4.The evaluation of the membership function showed that the purple chilis grown outside the shed in Wenshan Prefecture were better than those grown in the shed.In summary,in the low-latitude and plateau in situ of Wenshan Prefecture,greenhouse planting can improve the photosynthetic performance of purple chili,but it will lead to a decrease in the yield of dried chili.Purple chili yields under out-of-shed planting conditions perform better than inside the shed.This study can provide a basis for the rational application of purple chili greenhouse planting in the low latitude and plateau in Wenshan Prefecture,and provide guidance for farmers in Wenshan Prefecture to plant purple chili.
