Abstract/Summary:
Improving livestock and improving their quality is one of the main contents and symbols of developing animal husbandry production.Since the founding of New China,the CPC and the Central People’s Government have given deep concern to the animal husbandry economy of all ethnic minorities in the country,clearly defined the policy of "protecting and developing animal husbandry" and provided effective support in all aspects.Under the correct leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,and through the joint efforts of the people of all ethnic groups in the pastoral areas of Inner Mongolia,the livestock production in the pastoral areas has gradually been restored and developed.At the same time,the improvement of livestock in Inner Mongolia has achieved unprecedented achievements,and the quality of livestock has been greatly improved.When the People’s Republic of China was established,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region did not have a single breed of domestically bred livestock,and the introduction of high-quality livestock from other regions was also very rare.The period from 1949 to 1959 was an important period for the pilot initiation and development of livestock improvement work in Inner Mongolia.During this period,the livestock improvement work in Inner Mongolia has achieved fruitful results: there has been significant development in both quantity and quality of livestock improvement.The technical team for livestock improvement is also constantly growing.Technical guidance and livestock management are becoming increasingly perfect.Accumulated rich experience in livestock improvement.This article consists of three parts,laying a solid foundation for the further development of livestock improvement work in the future.Preface main text and conclusion.The preface section includes the significance of the topic the overview of previous research,basic historical materials research methods and innovations.The main text consists of three chapters.The first chapter introduces the local and introduced livestock varieties in Inner Mongolia,elaborates on the introduction and management of high-quality livestock as well as the construction of improvement and improvement bases and guidance stations.Chapter 2discusses the pilot project initiation and development of livestock improvement experiments in Inner Mongolia as well as the prevention and management of livestock diseases.The third chapter explores the effectiveness of improvement work on cattle sheep and horses,as well as its experience and inspiration.
