Chawaron Tomato Landraces Branching Behaviour And The Infiuence Of Different Pruning Methods On Yield And Quality

Chavalong Township,Chayu County,Nyingchi City,Tibet is located in the Nu River Gorge.The local dry and hot climate allows tomatoes to grow and develop well in the open field.Tomatoes have a long history of cultivation in the open field,forming the Chavalong tomato local variety,which is easy to grow side branches.It is not only the main or only local variety,but also a unique germplasm resource.The cultivation and management of local residents are imprecise,and there are no relevant research reports to date.Therefore,based on the characteristics of its multiple lateral branches and combined with the imprecise cultivation and management methods of local residents,this experiment aims to conduct research on the impact of branching habits and different pruning methods on yield and quality.The main results of the experiment are as follows:(1)Influence of different pruning methods on the yield and quality of Chawaron tomato.The pruning method has a significant influence on the quality of Chavalon tomato,and the composite score of three-bar pruning treatment was higher than that of other treatments,and the content of Vc,soluble sugar,phosphorus and potassium was significantly higher than that of other treatments,respectively 45.52mg/100g,4.38%,6.18mg/g and 48.33mg/g;the content of soluble protein was improved compared with other treatments,1.29mg/100g;the largest single fruit weight was 26.01g;the total output of the community was9.63 kg/m~2.Therefore,the pruning is more conducive to the accumulation of nutritional quality and the improvement of the yield of Chawaron tomato.(2)Effects of different amount of fertilizer on yield,quality and side branches of Chawalon tomato.With the increase of nitrogen and phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer application amount,the nutritional quality of the fruit was also increased,the composite score was highest under 8g/basin(Accumulated:32g/basin)compound fertilizer treatment,the fruits showed higher soluble protein,Vc,soluble sugar and nitrogen content,1.61mg/g,48.19mg/100g,2.24%and 3.07g/100g,respectively,and the yield and hectare yield were higher than other treatments,557.60g and 27879.93kg/ha;Overall,this fertilizer dosage was beneficial to the increase of yield,quality and lateral branch germination of Cavalon tomato.(3)Effect of different temperatures on seedling morphology and lateral shoots of Chavalon tomato.Temperature has a significant influence on the morphology and side shoots of Chawaron tomato seedlings.Under day temperature 20℃and night temperature 10℃treatment,early growth of seedlings the stem thickness,the leaf area and the true leaf number are higher than other treatment;late growth of seedlings the number of true leaves was the highest and the plant height was highest,and the number of lateral buds was moderate,so this temperature combination is beneficial to the growth and lateral bud formation of Chawaron tomato seedlings.
