| Lilium lancifolium bulbils contain many active ingredients, such as flavonoids, polyphenols, alkaloids, polysaccharides and phenolic acid glycerides, etc. They also have some phospholipids, proteins, inorganic elements, fiber and many vitamins, which have the potential to improve animal productivity and disease resistance, maintain animal intestinal health, reduce diarrhea rate, inhibit cancer cell growth and promote the immune function of body cells. In this study,Lilium lancifolium bulbils sprouts were used as herbal feed additives to investigate the effects of Lilium lancifolium bulbils sprouts on productive performance, nutrient digestibility, carcass traits, organ index, meat quality, blood biochemistry and microbial composition of Tibetan pigs.In this experiment,36 Tibetan pigs were randomly divided into 3 treatments with 6replicates each and 2 pigs in each replicate.During the experiment, the feed intake was recorded weekly and the body weight of Tibetan pigs was recorded every two weeks to calculate the production performance;in the last week of the experiment, blood was collected from all the test pigs by anterior vena cava blood collection after 12 h fasting, and the supernatant was centrifuged in a centrifuge tube and sent to Linzhi Qiaoren Hospital in Linzhi City to determine the blood biochemical indexes.Fresh fecal samples were collected in the last week, and part of them were stored in-20℃ refrigerator for nutrient determination, and the other part was stored in liquid nitrogen and sent to Beijing Bemac Biotechnology Co.At the end of the experiment, the test pigs were slaughtered to determine the slaughter performance and meat quality.Test results are as follows:1.The end weight, total weight gain for the whole period and average daily weight gain for the whole period of Tibetan pigs in treatment 1(1% level Lilium lancifolium bulbils added group)were significantly higher than those in the base group and treatment 2(2% level Lilium lancifolium bulbils added group)(P<0.05).2.The apparent digestibility of dietary crude fat and acidic detergent fiber was significantly higher in Tibetan pigs in treatment 1 and treatment 2 groups than in the basic group, and significantly higher in treatment 2 than in treatment1 group(P<0.05).3.The slaughter rate of Tibetan pigs in treatment 1 and treatment 2 groups was significantly higher than that of basic group(P<0.05).And there was a tendency to improve the backfat thickness, eye muscle area and plate oil ratio of Tibetan pigs.4.There was no significant difference in blood biochemical indexes between the groups(P>0.05).5.The treatment 1 group significantly increased the relative abundance of luncultured_rumen_bacterium at the genus level(P<0.05)and uncultured_rumen_bacterium at the species level(P<0.05)compared with basic group and treatment 2 groups, which improved the Tibetan pigs’ digestion and absorption of nutrients and their own immune status. In conclusion, under the present experimental conditions, the addition of Lilium lancifolium bulbils at 1% in the ration of housed Tibetan pigs improved the production performance of Tibetan pigs, and the addition of different percentages of Lilium lancifolium bulbils improved the slaughter performance and nutrient digestibility of Tibetan pigs, and had certain potential in improving the immunity of Tibetan pigs themselves, the digestion and absorption efficiency of nutrients and the feed conversion rate. From the analysis of economic efficiency and production practice, the best comprehensive effect was achieved when the proportion of Lilium lancifolium bulbils in feed was 1%. |
