Objective:Among 1000 infertile women with PCOS in ’Effect of Acupuncture and Clomiphene Citrate on Live Birth in Infertile Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome:A Randomized controlled Trial(PCOSAct)’,to analyze the association between intercourse status and factors including southern/northern regional difference,occupational property,living condition and BMI,and the association between Chinese medicine syndrome and BI,and the influence of intercourse frequency and intercourse compliance on pregnancy outcomes.Methods:To compare intercourse status between southern and norther regions,different Chinese medicine syndromes,different occupational properties,different living conditions and evaluate their influence on intercourse,and the effect of intercourse on pregnancy outcomes.Results:1.Intercourse frequency among southern subjects were higher than norther subjects(2.31 vs.2.20,P<0.0001),and intercourse compliance among southern subjects were higher than northern subjects(81.82%vs.78.57%,P<0.05).2.Intercourse frequency and compliance were comparable among four Chinese medicine syndromes(P>0.05).3.To divide subjects into lean group,normal group,overweight group and obesity group according to BMI,intercourse frequency and compliance were all comparable among 4 groups(P>0.05).4.To divide subjects into physical occupation,intellectual occupation,unemployed and other according to occupation property,intercourse frequency were comparable among 4 groups(P<0.05),intercourse compliance were different among four groups(85%,77%,79%,83%,P<0.05).5.To divide subject into living with only husband or not groups,intercourse frequency and compliance were not statistically different(P>0.05).6.Intercourse frequency and compliance were not statistically different between conceived and non-conceived women(P>0.05).
