The Clinical Study Of Naogukang Acupoint Plaster Treatment For Postmenopausal Osteoporosis

ObjectiveTo comprehensively evaluating the curative effect of naogukang acupoint plaster treatment on postmenopausal osteoporosis patients caused by kidney deficiency and marrow reduction,by observing(L2-L4)BMD in the spine、MMSE、VAS and osteoporosis symptoms scores.MethodsSixty patients of postmenopausal osteoporosis patients caused by kidney deficiency and marrow reduction,who fiting the inclusion criteria,were randomly evenly divided into two groups.Two groups of patients were given Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin Chewable D3 Tablets(one tablet each time every day)and Alendronate Sodium Tablets(one tablet each time every week).The experimental group was also treated with naogukang acupoint plaster treatment,while the control group was accepted acupoint plaster treatment that placebo.Acupoint plaster treatment was accepted each night before sleep to the combination of fixed points(BL 23(Shen shu)、GV 16(Fengfu)、GB 39(Xuanzhong)、SP 6(Sanyinjiao))and got off early the next morning.The acupoint plaster treatment lasted for 5 days,then rest 2 days.Two groups of treatment cycle was six months.The(L2-L4)BMD in the spine、MMSE、VAS and osteoporosis symptoms scores were examined before and after the treatment.All data from the study was analysed by spss22.0,and the hypothesis test standard was determined by α=0.05.Results1.After treatment,(L2-L4)BMD in the spine of two groups’ patients were increased,and the experimental group patients’(L2-L4)BMD in the spine before and after treatment had obvious difference to the control group(P<0.05).2.After treatment,there were significant difference in the experimental group with MMSE score compared to before treatment(P<0.05),but the control group didn’t have(P>0.05).And the experimental group was better than that of the control group with MMSE score(P<0.05).3.After treatment,VAS score in both groups were significantly reduced,and the experimental group was slightly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).4.After treatment,two groups patients’ osteoporosis symptom scores were better,and the osteoporosis symptoms score of the experimental group improved more obvious compared with the controls group(P<0.05).5.After treatment,the experimental group was slightly greater than the control group in total effective rate and the number of effective cases.There had no significant differences in clinical curative effect of two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionThe naogukang acupoint plaster treatment for postmenopausal osteoporosis patients caused by kidney deficiency and marrow reduction has some curative effect.It can help patients reduce bone mass loss and had function in relieving pain symptom and raising the level of intelligent cognitive.The naogukang acupoint plaster treatment in postmenopausal osteoporosis is better than pure western medicine anti-osteoporosis treatment,which is worth clinical promotion.
