With the increase in the detection rate of patients with autism spectrum disorder and the younger age of diagnosis, related research on autism spectrum disorder has attracted widespread attention from society and professionals.Under the concept of inclusive education, how to actively and effectively improve the stereotyped behavior of children with autism spectrum disorder and improve their social communication skills has been the focus of researchers for a long time.Based on the purpose of improving the stereotyped behavior and gross motor performance of children with autism through active water activities, and then improving the social communication ability and athletic ability of children with autism. In this study,a single subject research design was used to formulate a water plan for the research subjects, and the stereotyped behavior changes of the subjects during the baseline period, intervention expectation, and maintenance period were recorded through observation methods.Through the comparative analysis of the results of the gross motor test(TGMD-2)of the experimental subjects and the control subjects,it is analyzed whether active water activities can have a positive effect on the gross motor development of children with autism. The research is divided into three phases:the first phase is the preparation phase, through interviews with the subjects’ families and teachers,as well as observation of the research subjects and related ability assessments,to formulate a water activity plan. The second stage is the activity intervention stage, which implements the activity plan and records the relevant performance of the experimental subjects. The third stage is the analysis and processing stage, through the processing of relevant indicators, analysis and discussion of research results. The following results are obtained through the analysis of the experimental subjects’ stereotyped behavior and gross motor performance related data:1.The statistically significant behaviors A,B,baseline period, intervention expectations, and maintenance period occurrence times and maintenance time data are analyzed for significant differences. The results show that,There are significant differences in F-test between baseline period and intervention period, baseline period and maintenance period, intervention period and maintenance period.2.The scores of the subjects’ gross movements The scores of the subjects’ mobility and operability have improved before and after the intervention, while the scores of the subjects’ mobility and operability have changed slightly.Conclusion:1.The experimental intervention has a positive impact on the target stereotyped behavior of the experimental subjects. The number of target stereotyped behaviors in the classroom of the experimental subjects decreases, and the classroom participation and interactive behaviors increase. And it has a certain delay effect, and the number of stereotyped behaviors during the maintenance period after the end of the intervention is also maintained at a low level.2.The performance of the subjects in the gross movement test has been improved, and the water activity can improve the subjects’ ability to perceive the body and the ability of muscle control.
