Research On The Application Characteristics Of "Twelve Decoction System" By Chinese Medicine Master Zhang Zhiyuan

Objective:By arranging the clinical experience of using classic prescriptions to diagnose and treat diseases,and the rules of clinical drug use of Chinese medicine master Zhang Zhiyuan,the "Zhang Zhiyuan Jingfang Twelve Decoction System" and its application characteristics were summarized.Through these studies,the historical records will be preserved,which will provide reference and inspiration for inheriting and developing Zhang Zhiyuan’s academic experience in using prescriptions of Shanghanlun,and providing reference for TCM clinical and scientific research.Method:This paper used traditional philological research methods to collect Zhang Zhiyuan’s manuscript notes,published books and published articles,screened out the literature related to the "Twelve Decoction System",and classified and sorted out the research,and finally summarized the "Twelve Decoction system" and its application characteristics of Zhang Zhiyuan.Result:This article summarizes the essence of Zhang Zhiyuan’s application of classic prescriptions,which is called "Twelve Decoction System",including Guizhi Decoction System,Mahuang Decoction System,Chaihu Decoction System,Baihu Decoction System,Sini Decoction System,Chengqi Decoction System,Zhizichi Decoction System,Banxia Xiexin Decoction System,Xianxiong Decoction System,Yinchenhao Decoction System,Wuling Powder System,Huangqin Decoction System.And through the analysis of representative prescriptions,specific disease treatment experience,and commonly used drugs,this paper summarized Zhang Zhiyuan’s core idea of using the "Twelve Decoction System",including "Yang as the foundation","Emphasis on Yang Qi","Protection of Yin Fluids",and also summarized the application characteristics of the “Twelve Decoction System”.Conclusion:1."Twelve Decoction System",as a classification method of Shanghanlun,provides a new way of thinking for in-depth understanding of the connotation of classical prescriptions.2.The core idea and application characteristics of "Twelve Decoction System" are of great significance for guiding clinical practice.
