Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction in treating anterior interosseous nerve injury of children with deficiency of qi and blood after supracondylar fracture of humerus in a randomized controlled study, and to provide clinical reference for the treatment of this disease.MethodsA total of 60 cases of children with anterior interosseous nerve injury after supracondylar fracture of humerus were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with30 cases in each group by random number method. Both groups were treated with closed reduction and internal fixation via Picker’s needle. The control group received mecobalamin tablet, twice a day, from 3 weeks after fracture. The experimental group was given 300 m L Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction in addition to the control group from the 3rd week after fracture, divided into morning and evening. The clinical data of anterior interosseous nerve motor conduction velocity, muscle function score of the affected limb, and index finger function score of the affected limb were measured at the 3rd,5th and 7th week after fracture, and the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine were statistically analyzed.Results1.There were no statistically significant differences in age, gender and elbow location between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable.2.Motor conduction velocity of anterior interosseous nerve: the motor conduction velocity of anterior interosseous nerve in experimental group and control group was recorded by electromyography before and after treatment. There was no statistically significant difference in the motor conduction velocity of anterior interosseous nerve between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable. The motor conduction velocity of anterior interosseous nerve in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group after 4 weeks of treatment.3.Muscle function score of the affected limb: there was no statistically significant difference in the functional score of the affected limb between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable. After 4 weeks of treatment, the muscle function score of the affected limb was compared between the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the affected limb function score of the experimental group was better than that of the control group.4.Index and flexor function score of affected limb: there was no statistical significance in the index and flexor function score of affected limb before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable. After 4 weeks of treatment, the difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05),and the flexor function score of the affected limb in the experimental group was better than the control group.5.Emg clinical efficacy: both groups improved after treatment. After 4 weeks of treatment, the experimental group was superior to the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).6.TCM clinical efficacy: both groups improved after treatment, and the experimental group was better than the control group after 4 weeks of treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).ConclusionHuangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction has a positive effect on the improvement of emg and index function in the treatment of anterior interosseous nerve injury after humeral supracondylar fracture in children.
