Objective:The clinical efficacy of 577 nm micropulse laser combined with yijing decoction was compared with that of 577 nm micropulse laser in the treatment of Diabetic macular Edema(DME),with deficiency of Qi Yin and blood stasis.This study aims to provide a more effective treatment for DME,with deficiency of Qi Yin combined with blood stasis.Methods:Sixty patients(60 eyes)who met the diagnostic criteria of diabetic macular edema with Qi Yin deficiency and blood stasis and were screened by inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected as the subjects from January 2021 to December 2021 in the ophthalmology department of the Affiliated People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Patients were randomly divided into 30 eyes of 30 patients in the treatment group(577nm micropulse laser combined with yijing decoction plus or minus),30 eyes of 30 patients in the control group(577nm micropulse laser alone).Best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),Central Macular Thickness(CMT)and TCM syndrome score,SPSS26.0 software were used for statistical analysis,and the differences between the two groups before and after treatment were compared.Results:Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in age,gender,course of disease,BCVA,CMT and TCM syndrome score between the two groups(P=0.574,0.606,0.374,0.446,0.828,0.064),and the data were comparable.1.Comparison of BCVA after treatment: BCVA in the treatment group and the control group increased after treatment compared with before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);BCVA in the treatment group was better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of CMT after treatment: CMT of the treatment group and the control group decreased after treatment compared with before treatment,with statistical significance(P < 0.05);The CMT of the treatment group was significantly reduced after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Comparison of TCM syndrome score after treatment: TCM syndrome score of the treatment group and the control group decreased after treatment compared with before treatment,with statistical significance(P < 0.05);The TCM syndrome score of the treatment group was significantly decreased after treatment,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).4.Comparison of total efficacy after treatment: the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 96.7% and 86.7% respectively,and the treatment group was better,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusions:1.577 nm micropulse laser photocoagulation alone is an effective method for the treatment of DME with deficiency of Qi and Yin combined with blood stasis,which can effectively improve the visual acuity of DME patients,reduce the retinal thickness in macular area and improve TCM symptoms.2.577 nm micropulse laser combined with Yijing Decoction has a better therapeutic effect than 577 nm micropulse laser alone in the treatment of DME with deficiency of Qi and Yin combined with blood stasis,which can more effectively improve the visual acuity of DME patients,reduce the retinal thickness in macular area and improve TCM symptoms.Yijing Decoction can promote macular edema absorption,improve vision.
