| Objective:To observe the difference in clinical efficacy between the acupuncture method of eliminating phlegm and removing blood stasis and the conventional acupuncture method in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)with phlegm and blood stasis,in order to provide a more effective treatment option for patients with DPN with phlegm and blood stasis. Methods:According to the random number table method,60 patients with DPN were divided into control group and treatment group,30 patients each. Both groups were given basic treatment, and on this basis, conventional acupuncture and acupuncture were administered respectively. After 2 consecutive courses of treatment, total Chinese medicine evidence score, the Toronto Clinical Scoring System score(TCSS)and the nerve conduction velocity of the two groups were compared and analyzed before and after treatment to assess the difference in efficacy between the two groups.Results:1.The differences in gender, age, disease duration and the scores before treatment were not statistically significant between the two groups(P>0.05)and were comparable.2.Total TCM symptom score:After treatment, the total TCM symptom score of patients in both groups decreased compared with that before treatment in the same group(P<0.01),suggesting that both treatment regimens could effectively improve the total TCM symptom score of patients, and the improvement effect was more obvious in the treatment group(P<0.01).3.TCSS score:After treatment, the TCSS scores of patients in both groups decreased compared with those before treatment in the same group(P<0.01),suggesting that both treatment regimens could effectively improve the TCSS scores of patients, and the improvement effect was more obvious in the treatment group(P<0.01).4.Nerve conduction velocity:After treatment, the motor nerve conduction velocity and sensory nerve conduction velocity of bilateral median nerve and common peroneal nerve in both groups increased compared with those before treatment in the same group(P<0.01),and the improvement effect was more obvious in the treatment group(P<0.01,P<0.05).5.Clinical efficacy:the total effective rate was 90% in the control group and 96.7% in the treatment group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both the method of purifying phlegm and Xing Yu acupuncture and the method of conventional acupuncture can improve the clinical symptoms of Chinese medicine in patients with DPN of the phlegm-stasis interconnection type, and the improvement effect of the method of purifying phlegm and Xing Yu acupuncture is better.2.Both the method of acupuncture with phlegm and stasis and the method of conventional acupuncture can improve the neurological function of patients with DPN with phlegm and stasis, and the effect of acupuncture with phlegm and stasis is better.3.The overall efficacy of the method was better than that of conventional acupuncture in treating phlegm-stasis DPN. |
