Clinical Observation Of Shugan Xuanfei Decoction In The Treatment Of Cough Variant Asthma With Liver Fire Invading The Lung And Its Effect On IL-4 In Induced Sputum

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Shugan Xuanfei Decoction in the treatment of cough variant asthma with liver-fire invading the lung and its effect on the level of IL-4 in induced sputum.Methods:68 patients with cough variant asthma who were treated in the Department of Respiratory Medicine,the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and who were in line with TCM syndrome differentiation as liver fire invading the lung syndrome were selected as the research subjects,and the subjects were divided into groups by random number method.For the treatment group and the control group,each group has 34 cases.Among them,the control group was given Symbicort(budesonide formoterol powder inhalation,specification:160ug/4.5ug×60 inhalations/piece),1 inhalation each time,twice a day,while the treatment group was inhaled at The control group was given Chinese herbal medicine decoction Shugan Xuanfei Decoction orally on the basis of the treatment plan,and the total course of treatment was 2 weeks.The scores of TCM syndromes and total curative effect,LCQ cough quality of life scores,and IL-4 in induced sputum supernatant were observed and recorded before and after treatment in the two groups.Results:1.After treatment,the total effective rate of TCM symptoms was improved in both groups,among which the apparent efficiency of the treatment group was 60.6%,the apparent efficiency of the control group was 34.4%,and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).2.Both groups were able to improve the TCM syndrome scores of the patients,and the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the symptoms of cough,chest and flank pain,Impatient and irritable,bitterness in mouth,and facial redness(P<0.05).3.Both treatment regimens improved patients’ LCQ cough quality of life scores,and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).4.Both groups could reduce the level of IL-4 in induced sputum,and the effect of the treatment group was more significant(P<0.05)..Conclusion:1.Shugan Xuanfei Decoction can improve the clinical symptoms of TCM in patients with cough variant asthma with liver-fire invading the lung syndrome,and has a good curative effect.2.Shugan Xuanfei Decoction can improve the LCQ cough quality of life score and improve the quality of life of patients.3.Shugan Xuanfei Decoction can reduce the level of IL-4 in the induced sputum and reduce the inflammation of the airway.
