The secondary metabolites of fungi have attracted more and more attention as important sources of new drug discovery. To date, more than 100,000 species of fungi have been identified, but that′s only a fraction of the fungi found in nature. Thanks to the diversity of species and the diversity of their habitats, there are still a lot of untapped fungal resources.Fungi have been shown to produce a large number of secondary metabolites with rich chemical structures and diverse biological activities. Therefore,it is very important to search for new drug lead compounds from fungal secondary metabolites.Euphorbia,as an important source of Chinese medicinal plants, has been widely used and developed, for example, traditional Chinese medicinal materials such as Euphorbia Pekinensis Rupr,Euphorbia humifusa Willd etc.In addition to the secondary metabolites produced by the plant itself, the traditional medicinal plants also contain the secondary metabolites produced by endophytic fungi. In the early studies, people often focused on the secondary metabolites of medicinal plants, but there were no reports on the secondary metabolites of endophytic fungi of medicinal plants or soil symbiotic fungi. Therefore, endophytic fungi and soil symbiotic fungi of euphorbia officinalis were selected as research objects to explore secondary metabolites with novel structures and diverse biological activities. In this study, the symbiotic fungus Penicillium multicolor LZUC-S2 isolated from the root soil of Euphorbia officinalis and the endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis sp.LZUC-DL6 isolated from the stem of Euphorbia officinalis were studied.Different fermentation conditions were selected and analyzed by NMR and TLC,so as to determine the optimal culture conditions. The crude extract was systematically separated by high performance liquid chromatography and other separation methods,28 compounds were isolated from P.multicolor LZUC-S2,including 19 azaphilones(three new compounds),7 α-pyrones,1 benzene derivatives, and 1 terpenoid.Pestalotiopsis sp.LZUC-DL6 were determined as research objects by screening fermentation conditions and YES medium was selected for mass fermentation. The extract was systematically separated by modern separation methods and 16 compounds were obtained, including 13 diketopiperazines,1 phenylpropanoids,1 glucoside. In addition, this paper reviewed the discovery and application of Penicillium fungi,as well as the secondary metabolites isolated from penicillium fungi and their biological activities,in order to provide help for the further study of penicillium fungi. In this paper by means of euphorbia plant endophytic fungi and soil fungi for the study of the secondary metabolites spurge is a symbiotic endophytic fungi and provide reference for the further development of,for the discovery of new drug lead compounds to provide material foundation, for the endophytic fungi of medicinal plants resources to provide theoretical basis for the development and utilization.
