By using data analysis,comparative analysis and questionnaire survey,this paper first collects and compares the data of various promotion indicators of all TCM videos released by five YouTube accounts in 2020 to understand the current situation of TCM promotion on the international new media platform,and then analyzes the current situation of TCM promotion.Then,from the perspective of the analysis of the audience and the promotion effect of 5W communication theory,the questionnaire is designed and formulated,and the questionnaire is distributed to foreigners to collect the answers.The statistical data were collated to explore the identity characteristics,behavior habits,attitudes towards traditional Chinese medicine and personalized needs of video push of YouTube platform video audiences.In order to further explore the effective strategies for the international dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,inclu ding the background of the topic,the research content and the related research review.The research review part comprehensively collates the research results and previous c onclusions of "TCM culture + international promotion","TCM culture + new media p romotion","Chinese medicine culture + international promotion + new media promoti on" from 2018 to 2021;Chapters 2-5 include the introduction of basic concepts such a s new media,traditional Chinese medicine culture,reptile technology and 5W promoti on theory,the comparative analysis of all kinds of promotion data of traditional Chine se medicine culture videos published by five accounts such as CGTN on YouTube in2020,and the questionnaire survey and analysis of international promotion audiences.And finally from the main body of promotion,promotion content,promotion audienc e three aspects of the cause of international promotion of traditional Chinese medicine culture to put forward superficial suggestions;Chapter 6 is the conclusion of this pap er,summarizes the full text of the work and points out the shortcomings and prospects for future work.
