The Clinical Efficacy Of The Qingchang Huashi Decoction To Treat Ulcerative Colitis With Anemia

Objective:To observe the clinical effect and safety of QingChang HuaShi Recipe in the treatment of ulcerative colitis with anemia,so as to provide reference for the clinical treatment of ulcerative colitis with anemia.Methods:60 patients with ulcerative colitis with anemia from the gastroenterology department of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 30 cases in each group.The treatment group was given QingChang HuaShi Recipe and Mesalazine,while the control group was given Mesalazine.After 8 weeks,observing the UC symptom score,anemia symptom score,TCM syndrome score,Hemoglobin(Hb),Serum ferritin(SF),Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),Fecal Calprotecin(FC)),and monitoring the drug safety.As the same time,analyzing the correlation between Hb and inflammation marks(ESR,CRP,FC).Results:After 8 weeks of treatment,both the treatment group and the control group could improve UC symptom score,anemia symptom score and TCM syndrome score(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(p<0.05).The level of Hb and SF in the treatment group increased significantly(P<0.05),while the level of Hb and SF in the control group did not improve significantly(P>0.05).The inflammatory marks(CRP,ESR and FC)of the two groups were improved(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the levels of ESR(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in improving the levels of CRP and FC(P>0.05)between the two groups.In terms of evaluating the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes,in the treatment group.0 cases were cured,9 cases were significantly effective,20 cases were effective,1 cases was ineffective,and the total effective rate was 96.67%.In the control group,0 cases were cured,3 cases were significantly effective,18 cases were effective,9 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 70%.The curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).In the course of treatment,only one patient in the control group had mild elevation in liver function indicators,which had normal review after liver-protected treatment.The rest of the patients did not appear drug side reaction and no gastrointestinal tract adverse reactions.The results of correlation analysis between Hb with FC,ESR and CRP were(r=-0.141,P>0.05;r=-0.294,P<0.05;r=-0.237,P<0.05).Conclusion:QingChang HuaShi Recipe combined with Mesalazine can reduce the inflammatory level and increase the levels of Hb and SF in patients with ulcerative colitis complicated with anemia,which can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients and has clinical safety.Hb levels were negatively correlated with ESR and CRP levels,but not correlated with FC.
