| Objective To develop and test the reliability of a post-transplant self-management assessment scale for patients with androgenetic alopecia in order to remedy the current lack of tools for assessing post-operative self-management in patients with androgenetic alopecia;and to provide a basis for research on patients with androgenetic alopecia. Methods 1.Based on self-management theory,a pool of scale entries was initially constructed through a review of domestic and international literature,a semi-structured interview was used to supplement the pool of scale entries, and Delphi expert consultation was used to revise and improve the scale entries, resulting in the formation of the Post-Hair Transplantation Self-Management Assessment Scale for Patients with Androgenetic Alopecia.2.A survey was conducted on patients after androgenetic alopecia hair transplantation in the plastic surgery department of a tertiary general hospital. The scale entries were analysed using the critical ratio method and the correlation coefficient method;the scale reliability was analysed using internal consistency evaluation and split-half reliability;and the scale validity was analysed using content validity and structural validity. Results 1.The resulting self-management assessment scale for post-hair transplantation in patients with androgenetic alopecia contained three dimensions and 19 entries, including six entries for medical management of disease, seven entries for behavioural and role management and six entries for emotional management. With two rounds of 100%and 87%expert positivity and expert authority coefficients of 0.950 and 0.961,both ≥ 0.800,respectively,the expert authority level was high and the scale data supporting the study results had a good performance in terms of two rounds of expert correspondence results.2.The The Cronbach’s a of the post-hair transplantation self-management assessment scale for patients with androgenetic alopecia was 0.922,and the Cronbach’s a of each dimension was greater than 0.7 with 0.712-0.973;the results of the split-half reliability of the total scale showed 0.881,and the split-half reliabilities of the dimensions were greater than 0.880,with satisfactory reliability and meeting the requirements of the scale test;the I-CVI were all greater than 0.75 and S-CVI were all greater than 0.9,with good content validity;structural validity KMO values were all greater than 0.7,with high validity of the scale. Conclusions This study has developed a scientific and reasonable post-hair transplantation self-management assessment scale for patients with androgenetic alopecia with good reliability and validity, which provides an assessment and evaluation tool to improve the self-management ability of patients with androgenetic alopecia after hair transplantation and lays the foundation for further related studies. |
