Abstract/Summary:
ObjectiveTo investigate the psychological resilience, professional benefits and clinical first-aid ability of cardiology nurses in Grade A tertiary hospitals in Shandong Province. The correlations of psychological resilience, professional benefits and clinical first-aid ability were analyzed,to explore the internal mechanism between variables, provide reference for relieving nurses’ psychological pressure, improve their career satisfaction, and improve nurses’ clinical first-aid ability.MethodsFrom January to March 2022,a total of 405 nurses in the wards of the Department of cardiology from 9 Grade A tertiary hospitals in Shandong Province were selected by convenience sampling method as research objects. The survey includes general data questionnaire,Conner-Davidson Resilience scale,Nurses’ Perceived Professional Benefits, and Questionnaire of non-emergency nurses.SPSS 25.0 software and AMOS 23.0 software were used for data analysis.Results1.The total score of clinical first-aid ability of 405 cardiology nurses was(127.36±12.69),and the average score of items was(4.55±0.45).In each dimension, the scores from high to low are first-aid response ability(4.66±0.52),first-aid disposal ability(4.62±0.53),first-aid management ability(4.55±0.48),critical condition observation ability(4.49±0.51),and theoretical knowledge reserve(4.39±0.60).2.The total score of psychological resilience of cardiology nurses was(80.11±13.85),and the average score of items was(3.20±0.55).Among the three dimensions, the score of self-improvement is the highest(3.34±0.52),and the score of tenacity and optimism is the lowest(3.18±0.59).3.The total score of the sense of professional benefits of cardiology nurses was(129.34±15.56),and the average score of the items was(4.46±0.54).Among the six dimensions, the score of good nurse-patient relationship was the highest(4.56±0.50),and the score of positive occupational perception was the lowest(4.30±0.69).In each dimension, the scores from high to low were good nurse-patient relationship(4.56±0.50),self-growth(4.53±0.56),sense of team belonging(4.47±0.57),recognition of relatives and friends(4.43±0.56),and positive occupational perception(4.30±0.69).4.The results of univariate analysis of the influencing factors of the clinical first-aid ability of cardiology nurses showed that there was a statistically significant difference in their clinical first-aid ability in terms of gender, age, working years in cardiology department, employment type, position, nurse level, first degree, number of rescue times per year, whether they had organized rescue, whether they had participated in special training of electrocardiogram, and whether they were cardiovascular specialist nurses(P<0.05).5.Correlation analysis showed that the total score and dimensions of psychological resilience of cardiology nurses were significantly positively correlated with the total score and dimensions of clinical first-aid ability(r=0.266~0.599,P<0.01),the total score and dimensions of professional benefits were significantly positively correlated with the total score and dimensions of clinical first-aid ability(r=0.300~0.670,P<0.01),and the total score and dimensions of psychological resilience were significantly positively correlated with the total score and dimensions of professional benefits(r=0.364~0.694,P<0.01).6.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the factors affecting the clinical first-aid ability of cardiology nurses included rescue times per year, whether cardiovascular specialist nurses, psychological flexibility, and sense of professional benefits, which together accounted for 54.0%of the total variation of clinical first-aid ability.7.Structural equation model was constructed to analyze the functional relationship of psychological resilience, professional benefits and first-aid ability of cardiology nurses. The sense of professional benefits has a direct impact on the clinical first-aid ability;Psychological resilience can not only directly affect the clinical first-aid ability, but also indirectly affect the clinical first-aid ability by affecting the sense of professional benefits.Conclusions1.In this study, cardiology nurses scored high clinical first-aid ability, psychological resilience, and professional benefits at a high level.2.The psychological resilience and professional benefits of cardiology nurses were positively correlated with clinical first-aid ability.3.The number of visits of cardiology nurses in the past 3 months, whether they are cardiovascular nurses, psychological resilience, and professional benefits are significant predictors of clinical first-aid ability.4.The sense of professional benefits directly affects clinical first-aid ability;Psychological resilience can not only directly affect clinical first-aid ability, but also indirectly affect clinical first-aid ability by affecting the sense of professional benefits.
