Objective:To explore the changes of visual quality indicators such as visual acuity,visual distortion,contrast sensitivity,color vision,central visual field light sensitivity and vision-related quality of life before and after idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane(IMEM)surgery.Methods:This study is a prospective study.The relevant data of patients with idiopathic epimacular membrane who were diagnosed and treated by surgery in the Department of Ophthalmology,Affiliated Hospital of Sichuan North Medical College from January 2021 to November 2021 were collected,including 27 cases with 27 eyes,and 27 eyes.5 eyes of 5 patients with intraocular lens,22 eyes of 22 patients without cataract surgery,all affected eyes received phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation+25G minimally invasive vitrectomy+epimacular membrane and internal limiting membrane tear Except for surgical treatment.Relevant data were collected before surgery,1 week after surgery,1 month after surgery,and 3 months after surgery,including:best corrected acuity(BCVA),central foveal thickness(CFT),visual acuity Metamorphopsia(M),contrast sensitivity(CS),color vision(color vision),mean defect(MD)of central 10°visual field,and Visual-Related Quality of Life Life,VR-QoL).SPSS25.0 was used for statistical analysis to compare the changes of each index in different time periods before and after operation,and to analyze whether there was a correlation between each index.Results:1.The follow-up at each time point after the operation was compared with the previous follow-up(1 week after operation and before operation,1 month after operation and 1 week after operation,3 months after operation and 1 month after operation):the results of each period of BCVA,The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the difference was statistically significant in each period of CFT(P<0.05);the difference was statistically significant in each period of horizontal visual distortion(P<0.05),and the vertical visual distortion was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were significant differences between 1 week after operation and before operation,and between 1 month after operation and 1 week after operation(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between 3 months after operation and 1 month after operation(Z=-1.000,P>0.05);the contrast sensitivity in each period,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the color vision score in each period,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference between 1 month after operation and 1 week after operation(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between 3 months after operation and 1 month after operation(Z=-0.518,P>0.05),green The difference was statistically significant between 1 week after operation and before operation(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between 1 month after operation and 1 week after operation,and between 3 months after operation and 1 month after operation(Z=-1.280,-1.832,P>0.05),the difference was statistically significant at 1 week after operation and before operation(P<0.05),1 month after operation and 1 week after operation,3 months after operation and after operation The difference was not statistically significant at 1 month(Z=1.289,-0.445,P>0.05),and the difference was statistically significant at 1 week after surgery and before surgery(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the last 1 week,3 months and 1 month after surgery(Z=-0.056,-0.858,P>0.05);the difference was statistically significant in each period of central 10° visual field photosensitivity defect(P<0.05);visual-related quality of life scores in different periods,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The results of correlation analysis of each index at each time point:BCVA and CFT were correlated before operation and at 1 week and 1 month after operation(r=0.559,0.668,P<0.05),but not at 3 months after operation(r=0.559,0.668,P<0.05).r=0.149,P>0.05);BCVA,,contrast sensitivity,color vision,central 10°visual field photosensitivity defect and visual-related quality of life scores were correlated in each period(r=-0.784,-0.765,-0.807,-0.786,0.458,0.686,0.590,0.463,0.424,0.607,0.506,0.421,0.622,0.601,0.506,0.557,P<0.05);horizontal visual distortion,vertical visual distortion and visual-related quality of life scores in each period There was no significant correlation(r=-0.044,-0.202,0.017,-0.031,-0.073,-0.145,-0.083,-0.139,P>0.05);there was no significant correlation between preoperative CFT and vision-related quality of life scores(r=-0.610,P>0.05),postoperative CFT was correlated with vision-related quality of life scores(r=-0.877,-0.900,-0.251,P<0.05).Conclusions:The surgical treatment of idiopathic epimacular membrane is effective.The postoperative visual acuity,foveal retinal thickness,visual deformation,contrast sensitivity,color vision,central visual field light sensitivity and other objective indicators are improved compared with those before surgery,and the patients’ vision-related life is improved.The quality score was improved compared with that before operation,and the visual-related quality of life was strongly correlated with BCVA and central visual field light sensitivity,and correlated with contrast sensitivity,color vision,and CFT.We need to pay attention to the subjective feelings of patients,and comprehensively evaluate the patients’ visual function in combination with various examinations,so that patients can understand the development and prognosis of the diseasebetter,reduce doctor-patient disputes,and improve patients’ surgical results and satisfaction.
