| Objective: In this study,a randomized controlled trial was conducted to observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis under the guidance of the theory of ’five-body arthralgia ’.At the same time, the related theories and mechanisms were analyzed to provide a novel treatment plan for clinical acupuncture treatment of knee osteoarthritis, and provide a certain reference for the clinical application of acupuncture treatment of knee osteoarthritis in the future. Methods: In this study,a total of 60 patients who met the diagnostic criteria of knee osteoarthritis were included, and these 60 patients were randomly divided into five-body-bi acupuncture group and traditional acupuncture group.Among them,30 patients in the five-body-bi acupuncture group received acupuncture treatment based on the theory of five-body-bi.30 cases in the traditional acupuncture group received traditional acupuncture treatment. The two groups were treated 5 times a week,1 week as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment, and before treatment and after 2 courses of treatment, observation and evaluation and data collection were carried out.The observation indexes were the scores of each symptom scale, including VAS score,WOMAC total score, pain score, stiffness score and activity function score. Then the relevant data were statistically analyzed by SPSS software, and the clinical efficacy of the two groups in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis was evaluated according to the statistical results.Results:(1)Visual analogue scale(VAS)score : After treatment, the VAS scores of patients in the Wutibi acupuncture group and the traditional acupuncture group showed a downward trend compared with those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that these two treatment methods have a certain effect in improving the pain symptoms of patients with knee osteoarthritis;at the same time, compared with the VAS scores of the two groups after treatment, the VAS score of the patients in the Wutibi acupuncture group was lower than that in the traditional acupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the Wutibi acupuncture treatment was superior to the traditional acupuncture treatment in improving the pain of knee osteoarthritis.(2)The knee osteoarthritis index scale(WOMAC)score : After treatment, the WOMAC total score, pain score, stiffness score and activity function score of the patients in the Wutibi acupuncture group and the traditional acupuncture group showed a downward trend, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that both treatments can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of knee osteoarthritis;at the same time, the WOMAC total score, pain score, stiffness score and activity function score of the two groups of patients after treatment were compared. It can be seen that the WOMAC total score, pain score, stiffness score and activity function score of the five-body acupuncture group were lower than those of the traditional acupuncture group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the five-body acupuncture treatment was superior to the traditional acupuncture treatment in improving knee osteoarthritis pain, joint stiffness, and joint activity function. Conclusion(s): The results of this study show that the clinical efficacy of Wutibi acupuncture in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is definite, which can effectively reduce the pain of knee osteoarthritis, improve joint stiffness and joint activity function, and to a certain extent,it is also a supplement to traditional acupuncture points, which can be popularized and applied in clinical practice. |
