Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of external application of 2%carteolol hydrochloride eye drops compared with intratumoral injection of triamcinolone acetonide in the treatment of superficial proliferative infantile hemangioma with moderate and low risk. Methods:In this study,90 children with moderate risk and low risk superficial hemangioma diagnosed and treated in the Orthopaedics Department of Quanzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital and Children’s Hospital from August 2018 to September 2019 were selected.Among them,45 children were treated with topical application of 2%Carteolol hydrochloride eye drops on the local tumor body(group A,external application group),Forty-five patients were treated with local intraocular injection of triamcinolone acetonide(group B,injection group). The two groups were revisited once a month, and the treatment time was determined according to the observation of treatment efficacy and color ultrasound results. The treatment effect, onset time, course of treatment, adverse reactions and the compliance of the children and their families in the two groups were observed and analyzed. Results:The effective rate of group A(external application group)was 64.44%,that of group B(injection group)was 75.56%,that of group A(external application group)was40%,and that of group B(injection group)was 66.67%.The effective rate of group B(injection group)was slightly higher than that of group A(external application group),the difference was not statistically significant(χ~2=1.323,P=0.250>0.05),the significant efficiency of group B(injection group)was significantly higher than that of group A(external application group),and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=6.429,P=0.011<0.05).Within the thickness range of 3-6mm,the effective rate of group B(injection group)was significantly higher than that of group A(external application group),the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=4.912,P=0.027<0.05).The average treatment time of group A(external application group)was6.08±1.39 months longer than that of group B(injection group)(3.39±0.44 months),and the difference was statistically significant(t=12.39,P=0.001<0.05).There were no systemic adverse reactions in group A and B after drug treatment, and the local adverse reactions in group A(external application group)(8.9%)were less than those in group B(injection group)(24%),with statistical significance(χ~2=3.92,P=0.048<0.05).Conclusion:Based on this study, the moderate risk and low risk of superficial type IH regular local topical medications, topical 2%card for parlour hydrochloride eye drops and injection of triamcinolone acetonide to treat within tumors are relatively safe and effective treatment, for tumors to grow relatively slow steady or tumors had flat(<3mm)in low risk infant hemangioma,External application of 2%carteolol hydrochloride eye drops is recommended. For infantile hemangiomas with recent rapid growth or bulge(3-6mm),it is better to consider intrasumoral triamcinolone acetonide for treatment.
