Purpose:1.The elderly patients with sarcopenia were studied to ascertain the influence of FOCUS-PDCA mode combined with resistance exercise on their daily activity and quality of life.2.To clarify the FOCUS-PDCA model in combination with resistance exercise, routine nursing intervention in the elderly patients with sarcopenia effect differences.Method:A total of 98 elderly patients with sarcopenia patients in Yongfeng County People’s Hospital from May 2021 to May 2022 were randomly divided into the control group and research group with 49 patients in each other.Routine health education intervention and follow-up were conducted for sarcopenia in the control group, and FOCUS-PDCA mode combined with resistance exercise was conducted in the research group, all of which were intervened until 12 weeks after discharge.By comparing the muscle mass and strength, daily activity(ADL score),and quality of life(SF-36 score)of the two groups of patients, the application value of FOCUS-PDCA model combined with resistance exercise was comprehensively evaluated.Result:(1)No significant disparity was observed between the control group and the research group in general data before the intervention(p>0.05);(2)After the 12-week intervention, the muscle mass and strength,ADL score, and SF-36 score of both groups were all enhanced in comparison to pre-intervention scores(p<0.05);(3)Moreover,the growth of indices such as muscle mass and strength,ADL score, and daily activity ability was observed post-intervention.The research group’s ADL score and SF-36 score were superior to those of the control group.(p<0.05).Conclusion:Resistance exercise,in conjunction with the FOCUS-PDCA model, has been found to be a successful means of enhancing the gait and balance of elderly patients with sarcopenia,as well as their life activities and quality of life. This approach has been found to have significant therapeutic benefits and is suitable for clinical application.
