| Research purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the Baduanjin combined with PNF intervention over a period of 12 weeks on knee joint range of motion,gait,and knee joint function score(HSS)in elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis.The study investigates the intervention effect of the Baduanjin combined with PNF on the walking ability of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis.Research method: This experiment selected 45 elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis from Bayannur City Hospital and randomly divided them into three groups: Group A,Group B,PNF group,and Group C,combined with PNF group.Perform 15 minutes of wax therapy before each intervention.Group A,Baduanjin group,received 55 to 65 minutes of intervention each time,5 times a week,for 12 weeks;Group B: PNF group received 55 to 65 minutes of intervention each time,5 times a week,for 12 weeks;The combination of Group C’s Baduanjin and PNF group will first perform Baduanjin exercises,followed by PNF exercises,for a total of 55 to 65 minutes,5 times a week,for 12 weeks.Before and after the intervention,the passive and active joint mobility of the knee joint were evaluated using a joint mobility protractor,the gait related parameters of a 10 m walking distance were recorded and analyzed using a Tecno Body digital running table,and the knee joint function was evaluated using the HSS knee joint function assessment scale.Research results:(1)Effects of different intervention methods on passive and active joint mobility of the knee joint: Intragroup comparison: The changes in joint mobility of the three groups after the experiment were better than before,with significant differences(P<0.05);Inter group comparison: The combination of Baduanjin and PNF group was significantly better than the Baduanjin group and PNF group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).(2)Effects of different intervention methods on gait: Intragroup comparison: After the experiment,there were significant differences in gait parameter indicators among the three groups(P<0.05);Inter group comparison: After the experiment,there was no significant difference in gait parameters between the Baduanjin group and the PNF group(P>0.05);The combination of Baduanjin and PNF group was significantly superior to the Baduanjin group and PNF group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).(3)The impact of different intervention methods on knee joint function scores showed significant differences in pain,function,range of motion,stability,and muscle strength indicators(P<0.05);Inter group comparison: After the experiment,the indicators of pain,function,activity,and stability in the Baduanjin combined with PNF group were significantly better than those in the Baduanjin group and PNF group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).Research conclusion:(1)The Baduanjin and PNF groups can increase patients’ active and passive joint range of motion.The combination of Baduanjin and PNF groups can more effectively improve patients’ knee stiffness and increase knee joint range of motion.(2)The Baduanjin group and PNF group to some extent increased the stride length of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis,effectively prolonging the walking cycle,shortening the standing time in the support phase,shortening the touchdown time,increasing the stride speed,and increasing the stride length.The intervention of Baduanjin combined with PNF can effectively improve the overall walking ability of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis.(3)The Baduanjin group and PNF group can improve the pain,range of motion,and stability of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis;The combination of Ba Duan Jin and PNF group can alleviate knee joint pain and stiffness of muscles around the knee joint in elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis,enhance muscle strength and stability of the knee joint,and effectively improve the overall function of the knee joint. |
