Clinical Study On Zheng Rixin’s Empirical Prescription For Treating Generalized Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo With Yangd Deficiency Water

PurposeIn this study,the clinical efficacy of Zheng Rixin’s empirical formula in the treatment of yang-deficiency watery generalized BPPV was observed,and the changes of DHI score and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment were compared to objectively evaluate the efficacy of Zheng Rixin’s empirical formula in the treatment of Yang-deficiency watery generalized BPPV,so as to provide a more effective TCM characteristic treatment method for the clinical treatment of BPPV.MethodsSelected from the otolaryngology Clinic of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine from September 2022 to February 2023,70 patients with generalized BPPV with Yang deficiency met the diagnostic criteria,They were randomly divided into treatment group(35 cases)and control group(35 cases).Manual reduction was used as the basic treatment in both groups.The treatment group was treated with Zheng Rixin empirical formula.The control group was treated with betastine hydrochloride tablets,The treatment cycle was 1 week.The changes of DHI score and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment were observed.After collecting relevant clinical data,Spass22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.ResultsBoth betastine hydrochloride tablet and Zheng Rixin experiential prescription combined with manual reduction treatment can improve vertigo and other symptoms.After treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group(91.42%)was better than that of the control group(82.86%),and the total DHI score,[somatic(P),emotional(E),functional(F)score] and TCM syndrome score of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).Therefore,in terms of the improvement of DHI total score,DHI specific score and TCM symptom score,Zheng Rixin empirical formula combined with manual reduction treatment was superior to the control group.ConclusionBoth Zheng Rixin prescription and betastine hydrochloride tablets have good therapeutic effects on BPPV,but compared with betastine hydrochloride tablets,the therapeutic effect of Zheng Rixin prescription is more significant,which can be used as an effective treatment of BPPV.
