Objective: To study the correlation between ischemic stroke and cardiovascular ultrasound index and clinical index, and to explore the application value of cardiovascular ultrasound combined with clinical risk factors in treating ischemic stroke. Methods: 210 patients who were hospitalized in Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital for ischemic stroke as the case group, and 210 patients who were not diagnosed with ischemic stroke and were examined in Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital Health Management Center at the same time were selected as the control group.General data, serological index, cardiac and carotid ultrasound indexes were collected from all study subjects for statistical analysis. Results: The differences in age, sex, height, weight, body mass index, body surface area, total cholesterol, homocysteine, left ventricular ejection fraction,E,and carotid plaque echo were not statistically significant(P>0.05)between the case group and the control group. There were statistically significant differences in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, number of hypertension cases, number of hyperglycemia cases, number of smoking cases, number of previous history of cardiovascular disease, glucose, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol,Apo A1,Apo B,Apo A1/B,lipoprotein(a),A,e’,E/A,E/e’,number of cases of reduced left ventricular diastolic function, grade of left ventricular diastolic insufficiency, number of cases with carotid plaque, carotid intima-media or plaque thickness, and grade of carotid plaque(P < 0.05).Elevated diastolic blood pressure, elevated triglyceride, history of smoking, carotid plaque at grades 2 and 3,and left ventricular diastolic insufficiency at grades 2 and 3 increased the risk of IS,and the results were statistically significant(P < 0.05).In those aged 60 years and younger, elevated triglyceride and carotid plaque at grades 2 and 3 increased the risk of IS,and the results were statistically significant(P < 0.05).In those aged over 60 years, elevated triglyceride, carotid plaque at grade 3,and left ventricular diastolic insufficiency at grades 1,2,and 3 increased the risk of IS,and the results were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The AUC of combined index 4(systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, triglyceride, homocysteine, hypertension, hyperglycemia, smoking history, previous history of cardiovascular disease, grade of carotid plaque, and combined with grade of left ventricular diastolic insufficiency)was 0.887,with a sensitivity of 81.4%and specificity of 81.0%,and its predictive value and clinical utility was superior to that of the other models. Conclusion: Cardiovascular ultrasound can be used in the assessment of ischemic stroke, the value of cardiovascular ultrasound in combination with clinical risk factors in ischemic stroke is better than that of clinical risk factors alone in ischemic stroke, which may play a role in clinical practice.
