Objective: To investigate the relationship between CDK4/6 expression and pathological features and risk fractor of prognosis in patients with adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction. Methods: To collect the clinicopathological data of 135 patients who underwent radical gastrectomy for adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction from January 2014 to December 2019.The expression of CDK4 and CDK6 in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry, and analyzed the relationship between CDK4/6 expression in AEG and pathological characteristics and survival prognosis. Results: 1 The positive expression rates of CDK4 and CDK6 in AEG tissues were 79.26% and 70.37%,respectively,which were significantly higher than those in adjacent tissues(31.67% and 16.67%)(P<0.05).The positive expression degree of CDK4 and CDK6 was correlated with the differentiation degree of AEG(P< 0.05).The lower the degree of differentiation, the higher the positive expression rate of both and the difference of CDK6 expression in whether adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction tissues invaded the nerve was statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive expression rate was higher in the tumor invasion group. There were no significant differences in gender, age, gross type, tumor thrombus formation, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis,Her-2 expression and TNM stage between the two groups(all P>0.05).2 Survival analysis showed that CDK4 and CDK6 expression had no significant difference in progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with AEG.(all P>0.05).3 Multivariate regression analysis suggested that intravascular cancer embolism and TNM staging were risk factors for OS in AEG patients. Conclusions: 1 The positive expression rates of CDK4 and CDK6 in AEG tissues increased and were correlated with the degree of differentiation.2 The degree of CDK6 expression was correlated with whether the tumor invaded the nerve, and the positive expression rate was higher in the tumor invaded the nerve.3 The survival time of PFS and OS in AEG patients in the negative expression group of CDK4 and CDK6 was longer than that in the positive expression group.4.The formation of intravascular cancer thrombus and TNM staging are risk factors for OS in AEG patients.
