Objective: Blood flow restriction training is widely used in the field of rehabilitation medicine, which can effectively relieve joint pain, improve joint mobility, promote muscle hypertrophy and enhance muscle strength in the rehabilitation of knee joint injury. The purpose of this study is to observe and analyze the test results of blood flow restriction training on knee joint pain, knee joint function score, joint mobility, muscle shape(quadriceps and hamstring muscle thickness, thigh circumference)and other indicators in patients with knee joint stiffness, and to explore the effects of common rehabilitation training and BFR(Blood flow restriction BFR)training with different pressures on knee joint pain, knee joint function score, joint mobility, muscle shape(thigh)To provide a new treatment for patients with knee joint stiffness in the process of rehabilitation. Methods: In this study,60 patients with knee joint stiffness were recruited from the rehabilitation department of Sichuan Orthopedic Hospital, and randomly divided into control group(general rehabilitation training group)and three experimental groups(40%BFRT group,60%BFRT group and 80%BFRT group),with 15 patients in each group, who were treated five times a week for four weeks. Before treatment,2 weeks after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment, the patients’ knee joint pain, knee joint function score, joint mobility, muscle shape(thickness of quadriceps and hamstring muscles, thigh circumference)and other indicators were measured. In this study,SPSS26.0 software was used for statistical analysis and analysis, and repeated measurement variance analysis method was used for analysis.P<0.05 considered that there was a significant difference, which clarified the blood flow restriction training.Results:(1)Changes of knee joint pain and HSS score before and after treatment:(1)There were significant differences in VAS score,HSS score of knee joint function and knee joint flexion and extension range of motion between control group,40%BFRT group,60%BFRT group and 80%BFRT group before and after treatment for 2 weeks and before and after treatment for 4 weeks(P<0.05).Compared with 40%BFRT group,60%BFRT group and 80%BFRT group, the VAS score of knee joint,HSS score of knee joint function and knee joint flexion and extension range were significantly different(P<0.05).(2)Changes of muscle morphology before and after treatment:(1)The changes of quadriceps femoris thickness in control group,40%BFRT group,60%BFRT group and80%BFRT group were significantly different before and after treatment for 2 weeks, and before and after treatment for 4 weeks(P<0.05);(2)After treatment for 4 weeks, compared with the control group, quadriceps femoris in 80%BFRT group were significantly different. However, there was no significant difference among the 80%,60% and 40%BFRT groups(P>0.05).(3)The hamstring muscle thickness of the 80%,60% and 40%BFRT groups had significant differences before and after treatment for 2 weeks and before and after treatment for 4 weeks. There were significant differences in hamstring muscle thickness among 80%,60% and 40%BFRT groups(P<0.05),but there were no significant differences among 80%,60% and 40%BFRT groups(P>0.05).(5)After 4 weeks of treatment, the changes of thigh circumference in 80%BFRT group,60%BFRT group and 40%BFRT group were compared with those in control group at50% and 30% before treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment. There were significant differences between 80%BFRT group,60%BFRT group and 40%BFRT group(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)Both 1)BFR training and general rehabilitation training are effective for rehabilitation of knee joint stiffness.(2)BFR training is superior to ordinary rehabilitation training in improving the pain of knee joint stiffness, improving the function and range of motion of knee joint, increasing the thickness of quadriceps femoris and hamstring muscle and thigh circumference.(3)In BFRT,compared with the blood flow restriction pressure of 60%AOP and40%AOP,the blood flow restriction pressure of 80%AOP is more effective in improving the pain after knee joint stiffness, improving the function and range of motion of knee joint, increasing the thickness of quadriceps femoris and hamstring muscles, and increasing thigh circumference.
