Observation On The Clinical Effect Of Zhengshi Qushi Tongluo Lotion In The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis With Cold Dampness Impediment

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Zheng’s Qushi Tongluo lotion in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA)with cold-dampness obstruction,and to provide more effective and exact treatment methods for KOA.Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted.From March 2022 to January 2023,100 KOA patients with cold-damp obstruction who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and voluntarily participated in the study were collected in the outpatient department of Chengdu institute affiliated sports hospital.The treatment group was treated with Zheng’s Qushi Tongluo lotion,fumigating and washing the affected knee once a day,and each bag of drugs was used once.The treatment for 2weeks was a course of treatment,and the treatment cycle was 2 courses.The control group was treated with Zheng’s Qushi Tongluo lotion mimic,and the rest were the same as the treatment group.Before treatment,2 weeks after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment,the patients were inquired and examined.The VAS score,WOMAC score,knee cold pain score,knee skin temperature change and TCM syndrome score were collected and recorded.SPSS 25.0 software was used for data analysis.Results: During the treatment,3 patients dropped off in the treatment group and 5patients dropped off in the control group,leaving 92 patients to complete the treatment course.After statistical analysis:(1)General information: Before treatment,there were no significant differences in age,gender,BMI,disease duration,Kellgren-Lawrane X-ray classification,VAS score,WOMAC score,knee cold pain score,knee skin temperature,and TCM syndrome score between the two groups(p > 0.05),and the two groups were comparable at baseline.(2)Comparison of clinical symptom scores: after 2weeks of treatment,the scores and average skin temperature of knee joint in the treatment group were significantly different from those before treatment(p < 0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS score and WOMAC total score in the control group(p > 0.05),but there were significant differences in WOMAC stiffness score,knee cold pain score,TCM syndrome score and knee joint average skin temperature before and after treatment(p < 0.05).The curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.After 4 weeks of treatment,the scores and the average skin temperature of knee joint in the treatment group and the control group were significantly different from those after 2 weeks of treatment(p < 0.05).There were significant differences in the scores and mean knee skin temperature between the treatment group and the control group(p < 0.05).(3)Comparison of clinical efficacy: after the treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group was93.6%,which was higher than 26.7% of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant by rank sum test(p < 0.05),the treatment group was significantly better than the control group.Conclusion: Zheng’s Qushi Tongluo lotion combined with fumigation treatment technology can improve joint cold pain,stiffness,poor flexion and extension and other TCM syndroms in patients with cold and dampness arthralgia KOA,and improve joint function.In this trial,no adverse reactions such as allergy were observed in patients after use,which can indicate that Zheng’s Qushi Tongluo lotion is safe to use,with few side effects,and can be used as a choice of clinical treatment.
