Objectives To investigate the relationship between IL-17 gene polymorphisms and psoriasis vulgaris.Methods A total of 102 patients with psoriasis vulgaris and 79 healthy controls were enrolled into this study,and they were all of Han nationality from Hainan province.The target gene capture sequencing method was used to sequence the IL-17 gene and the regions of 2kb up-and down-stream of this gene.Single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)-based association analysis and haplotype-based association analysis were performed in SNPs with minor allele frequency greater than 1%.Results SNP-based association analyses showed that 8 SNPs(3 in introns,1 in splice donor,4 in 5’UTR)were susceptible to psoriasis vulgaris(OR=0.251~2.002,95%CI=0.026~3.731,P<0.05).Haplotype-based association analyses showed that one haplotype(IL-17 F TT)was the risk haplotype of the disease(OR=1.664,95%CI=1.026~2.700,P<0.05),and its frequencies in the healthy control and patients were 29.11% and 40.69%,respectively.Conclusions IL-17 gene is associated with the susceptibility of psoriasis in Hainan Han population. |
