Objective:The expression of DUSP11,PTX3,and related factors(IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α)in the nasal mucosa of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS)and non-chronic rhinosinusitis was detected, and the correlation between nasal polyps and their expression was detected. To explore the possible role of DUSP11,PTX3,and related factors in the pathogenesis of Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps(CRSw NP),and provide a basis for selecting new effective treatment strategies. Methods:From October 2021 to October 2022,90 patients who underwent endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS)under general anesthesia in our department were selected.Combined with exclusion criteria and preoperative auxiliary examination, the group can be divided into Group A:Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps group;Group B:Chronic Rhinosinusitis without Nasal Polyps group;Group C:simple Nasal Septum Deviation group. An immunohistochemical technique was used to detect the expression of DUSP11,PTX3,IL-6,IL-1β,and TNF-αin each group.Through statistical processing and analysis of expression and comparison, related data.Results:1.There was no significant difference in age among the three groups(F=0.347,P=0.708)and gender composition(χ~2=0.394,P=0.821).2.The immunoreactivity scores and staining intensity of DUSP11,PTX3,TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6 among the three groups were statistically significant(H=28.265,P<0.001;H=36.279,P<0.001;H=28.529,P<0.001;H=49.516,P<0.001;H=28.916,P<0.001;H=38.887,P<0.001;H=46.014,P<0.001;H=42.347,P<0.001;H=43.764,P<0.001;H=40.209,P<0.001);3.The staining intensity and immunoreactivity scores of DUSP11,PTX3,TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1βin the CRSw NP group(116.23(99.13~241.46),30.43(9.29~34.85),148.62(129.36~255.87),210.36(147.73~262.42),197.39(105.56~220.35),respectively)were higher than those in the other two groups(P<0.05).4.The staining intensity and immunoreactivity scores of DUSP11,PTX3,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-1βin the CRSs NP group(83.76(29.51~113.87),4.20(2.72~6.00),56.61(52.49~67.55),51.79(42.54~62.17),97.09(73.49~128.36),respectively)were higher than those in simple nasal septum deviation group(P<0.05).5.The correlation between the number of DUSP11positive cells and the number of PTX3 positive cells showed that there was a positive correlation between the two,and the correlation coefficient r was 0.681,which was statistically significant(P<0.001).After further correction of grouping, the partial correlation coefficient was 0.612,which was statistically significant(P<0.001).6.The correlation between the number of positive cells of DUSP11,and PTX3 and the number of positive cells of TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6 were analyzed. The analysis showed that PTX3 and DUSP11 were positively correlated with TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1β,respectively.The correlation coefficient of group A was between 0.617~0.954.The correlation coefficient of group B was between 0.700~0.960.The correlation coefficient of group C was between 0.665~0.956.The correlation coefficients between the number of TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6 positive cells and the number of DUSP11positive cells in the three groups were all above 0.90,which were highly correlated, and the correlation coefficients of the number of positive cells in each group were statistically significant(P<0.001).The correlation coefficients between the number of TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6 positive cells and the number of PTX3 positive cells in the three groups were all above 0.60,and the correlation coefficients between the number of positive cells in each group were statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion:1.DUSP11,PTX3,TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1βmay be involved in the formation of nasal polyps.2.IL-1β,TNF-α,and IL-6 may be involved in the pathogenesis of CRSw NP by inducing the expression of DUSP11 and PTX3.3.DUSP11 and PTX3 may synergistically affect the pathogenesis of CRSw NP.
