Abstract/Summary:
Objective: This study was conducted to determine the clinical efficacy and recurrence of Zhiyin Qinghai Tang and Ankun Granules in the treatment of premenstrual period(Yin deficiency and blood heat evidence)by observing the time of early menstrual cycle and the change in the score of primary and secondary evidence in patients with premenstrual period before and after treatment.Methods:Seventy-two patients with Yin deficiency and Blood heat evidence of premenstrual period were included in this study under the guidance of our supervisor from 2021.12 to 2022.12.Random assignments were made to the 72 patients’ treatment and control groups, with 36 cases in each group, based on the inclusion criteria. These patients visited our hospital on their own will.Due to the interference of external factors, one case was shed in each of the treatment and control groups,so they were divided into 35 cases in each of the treatment and control groups. The treatment group used Ziyin Qinghai Tang and the control group used Ankun Granules. The spss was used to observe and compare the time of the early menstrual cycle and the points of primary and secondary evidence in the two groups to determine the therapeutic efficacy of Ziyin Qinghai Tang. Results: After three menstrual cycles, the treatment group’s overall effectiveness rate was 88.57%(6 cases were cured,18 were significantly improved,7 were effective, and 4were ineffective),while the control group’s overall effectiveness rate was 82.86%(4 cases were cured,8 were significantly improved,17 were effective, and 6 were ineffective). The treatment group’s overall success rate was much higher than that of the control group, demonstrating that Ziyin Qinghai Decoction had a far more effective therapeutic impact than Ankun Granule on early menstruation brought on by Yin deficiency and blood heat type.By comparing the age distribution, course of disease distribution, and menstrual cycle advance time of the included cases before treatment,p > 0.05,it was proved that the two were of comparative significance.Ankun Granule in the control group had a significantly worse curative effect on the timing of the early menstrual cycle, the color and amount of menstruation, and the related yin deficiency and blood heat syndromes(flushing of both cheeks and feverish palms and soles),though both Ziyin Qinghai Decoction and Ankun Granule in the control group were effective in treating other related syndromes(dry mouth and throat, constipation),respectively. Conclusion: Through this study,we found that Zhiyin Qinghai Tang and Ankun Granules were effective in treating Yin deficiency and Blood heat type of premenstrual period, and Zhiyin Qinghai Tang was more effective in treating early menstrual cycle and other primary and secondary symptoms. The total effective rate and recurrence rate of Zhiyin Qinghai Tang were significantly better than Ankun Granules, which is worth further promotion.
