Study Of Professor Feng Xiaochun’s Medication Rule In Treating Children Eczema

Objective: Through data mining techniques,summarize and analyze the medication rules of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions for treating childhood eczema by comparing the prescriptions of Professor Feng Xiaochun,the mentor,with those found in the literature database.Methods: During the period from October 2020 to October 2022,a total of 149 prescriptions were collected from Professor Feng Xiaochun,a mentor who treated children with eczema.At the same time,several Chinese databases were searched to screen for eligible research literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,and the prescriptions for traditional Chinese medicine in these literatures were analyzed and summarized using the Chinese Medicine Inheritance Calculation Platform.The research methods included the following steps: 1.Search relevant literature: search for relevant literature on the treatment of eczema in children using traditional Chinese medicine in Chinese databases such as CNKI,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,and VIP Information Network,and screen according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.2.Select appropriate prescriptions: select complete data and effective traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions from the literature that meet the inclusion criteria.3.Use the Chinese Medicine Inheritance Calculation Platform: use the "Chinese Medicine Inheritance Calculation Platform(V3.0)" software to perform statistical analysis on the selected traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions.4.Statistical analysis: use methods such as frequency analysis,four qi statistics,five flavors statistics,meridian statistics,and efficacy statistics to compare,summarize,and analyze the prescription medication rules used by Professor Feng Xiaochun in the treatment of eczema in children.Results: This study collected a total of 149 prescriptions from Professor Feng Xiaochun,involving 129 types of Chinese herbal medicines.The top ten most frequently used herbs were Fang Feng,Dang Gui,Bai Xian Pi,Zi Cao,Bai Wei,Chan Tui,Huang Qi,Bai Zhu,Ji Li,and Mu Dan Pi.From the perspective of the four natures of herbs,the main herbs used were cold,warm,and neutral in nature.From the perspective of the five flavors of herbs,the main flavors used were sweet,bitter,and pungent.From the perspective of the meridians that the herbs belong to,they primarily belonged to the liver meridian,followed by the spleen,stomach,heart,and kidney meridians.The top five categories of the medicinal effects of the herbs were heat-clearing,tonifying deficiency,releasing exterior,promoting digestion,and diuresis.After conducting a database search,a total of 394 articles were retrieved,and 87 articles were included in this study after exclusion.A total of 112 prescriptions were obtained,involving 175 types of herbs.The top ten most frequently used herbs were Bai Xian Pi,Cang Zhu,Fu Ling,Fang Feng,Chan Tui,Di Fu Zi,Yi Yi Ren,Ku Shen,Sheng Di Huang,and Jin Yin Hua.From the perspective of the four natures of herbs,the main herbs used were cold,warm,and neutral in nature.From the perspective of the five flavors of herbs,the main flavors used were bitter,sweet,and pungent.From the perspective of the meridians that the herbs belong to,they primarily belonged to the liver meridian,followed by the spleen,lung,stomach,heart,and kidney meridians.The top five categories of the medicinal effects of the herbs were heat-clearing,diuresis and dampness,releasing exterior,tonifying deficiency,and resolving dampness.Conclusion: Through data mining techniques such as analysis of traditional Chinese medicine properties and association rules,the following conclusions were drawn: Professor Feng Xiaochun’s treatment of pediatric eczema is primarily focused on the liver meridian,while also treating the spleen,stomach,heart,and kidneys.Medications with cold,warm,and neutral properties are used in combination,with a balance of sweet,bitter,and pungent flavors.Treatment is achieved through clearing heat,tonifying deficiency,dispelling external factors,aiding digestion,and promoting diuresis and dampness.Modern traditional Chinese medicine treatment is mostly focused on the liver meridian,with additional attention given to the spleen,lungs,stomach,heart,and kidneys.Bitter,sweet,and pungent flavors are used in combination with cold,warm,and neutral properties.Treatment is achieved through clearing heat,promoting diuresis and dampness,dispelling external factors,tonifying deficiency,and dispelling dampness.
