Observation Of Clinical Effect Of Qizhu Decoction In Curing Children’s Adenoidal Hypertrophy(lung-spleen Qi Deficiency Syndrome)

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Qizhu Decoction and Tongqiao Biyan Tablets in treating adenoid hypertrophy in children(lung-spleen Qi deficiency Syndrome)and to provide an effective treatment plan for adenoid hypertrophy in children with TCM.Methods: Seventy children who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the treatment group(n = 35)and the control group(n = 35).The treatment group was given Qizhu Decoction,and the control group was assigned Tongqiao Biyan Tablets.Both groups were treated for 30 days.After 30 days,clinical symptoms,signs,and scores of auxiliary examinations before and after medication in both groups were observed and analyzed.Results: During the 30-day treatment,6 cases dropped out,and 64 cases completed the study.32 cases in the treatment group,with an overall response rate of 90.63%;32 cases in the control group,with an overall response rate of 75.00%.After a course of treatment,the treatment effect of nasal congestion,mouth breathing,cough,anorexia,abdominal distension,loose stools,and auxiliary examination(P < 0.05)showed that the treatment group was superior to the control group;there was no significant difference in the two symptoms of snoring and shortness of breath and lazy speech during sleep(P >0.05),and the treatment effect was equivalent.After statistical analysis,the total effective rate of the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05(P=0.026)),and there were substantial differences between the two groups.During treatment,the child had no significant adverse effects.Conclusion: The clinical effect of Qizhu Decoction was better than that of the Tongqiao Biyan tablet.Qizhu Decoction can improve the clinical symptoms and signs of adenoid hypertrophy(Deficiency of lung and spleen qi),reduce the volume of adenoids,and the effect is significant.
